| Did you get hammered at Wembley. No
Did you have to play for survival in the qualifiers. No
Stop moaning support your club like true supporters do.

| Quote: HullFC_1865 "I could go buy a Ferrari tomorrow, but getting 85 year old Jock from the bowls club to drive it wouldn't win me any races.
Radford simply has to go, all his cheerleaders have become boring, Pearson is too pig headed to admit that Radford couldn't mount an attack on the Isle of Wight if he was Chief of Staff of the combined NATO forces.
The club will not die, we've been in worse positions, what [icould[/i cause us an issue is the incessant abuse of anyone who has the audacity to criticise. Fortunately it's only the usual (unimportant and irrelevant) opinions on here. Speak to most FC fans and they say the same, sponsorship next season is already an issue and it's only getting worse.'"
I like seeing the bizarre "Radford Cheerleaders" line. What cheerleaders does Radders have? I've not seen any on here, and I reckon most including myself would happily swap him for someone better. Name, shame & quote em...
People aren't "abused" either. If you see criticism of their monotonous arguments & their failure to take into account any other variables other than their own unwavering close-minded opinions as abuse, then I suggest you step away from the internet Martin as your sensitive soul might get hurt.

| Whilst the name of the thread "The slow death of Hull FC" is dramatic, the poster does make some valid points. The tag "sleeping giant" does nothing for the club. We're nothing of the sort, just an average rugby league team that has had some good times, espescially when there has been money made available. Expectations are always set way too high and espescially so, when Adam Pearson took over, plus he did make some pretty encouraging statements, which haven't been fulfilled YET. I can understand the average fans disallussionment, I feel the frustrations just the same as anyone but when you have followed a club for as long as I have, it is "through thick and thin". As I said on a previous post, I'll be renewing our 2 passes. I don't expect everyone else to do so, blindly, it is thier choice to do as they wish, wether to go, or to register thier disapproval by staying away.
The question regards Lee Radfords tenure does need to be addressed, it is devisive. He has a further year to go and Adam has said "He will be staying".
A genuine question, that has been asked before, if Adam pays Lee off, who could we possibly sign as coach? That is the dilema, Adam Pearson has. Powell at Cas, is on a long term contract, MONEY, someone mentioned Rowley at Liegh, look how they have performed, over the last 8 weeks. Tony Smith has been slated by Wire fans for thier performances this year but he has brought them success over the last 5 years. Brian Smith? Had his time and buggered off as soon as poss. Unless you get a top class Aussie you'll end up with what we've had over the years??????? Which British coach could we get?
Who do we have a genuine chance of signing as a replacement coach????
I'm a glass half full type and find it hard to slate my club. The constant vitriol, defamation and downright loathing that some posters dish out on here, does nothing but undermine the club and it's fanbase. Yes it is your perogative but it is bloody boring reading the same old same old, plus rarely, is a genuine answer offered up for thier complaints.
A set of good signings and the youngsters coming through bodes well for us, I look forward to next year but even I'm getting fed up of saying that. The club must deliver on the field, or the posters thread name may well come true.

| Quote: Dave K. "He has some fair points, but the title of the thread is way over the top. Would a club that is on it's death bed go out and spend all that money on bringing in 3/4 top players?
I really do think next season is a really crucial one in the clubs history, there is plenty to be positive about at the club, but now is the time to get it right on the pitch.'"
I agree with most of what the OP said and as you say would pearson spend all that money on new players if the club was dying, well he spent a lot of money last season on sneyd and to be fair have we seen any real improvement. The pack signings next season look very promising but we are back to the old chesnut of is radford the man to take us forward. The answer has to be no,one win in the super 8s,as hullfc1865 posts you can buy a ferrari but if the driver is no good its a waste of time.Didnt we say last season radford has while easter and he said "if I cant do the job I will walk" well im amazed if you think he's done a good job.
We had a lot of injuries at the backend of the season which in someways helped blood our youngsters, but what if we had the injuries earlier in the season? I doubt we would have made the 8,because a lot of the season we had a good run with injuries and luckily we had made the 8 before the injuries struck.Until we get a proper coach like powell we will remain on the edges of the top 8 at best imo. Still COYH.

Feel free to bring up any quotes Dave's made (or anyone else) saying they're happy with Radford as head coach or that they think he's doing a good job.
The only "Radford Cheerleader" I can remember on here (I forget his username), was the guy who said he was his cousin, and even he changed his tune earlier this season.
Aren't you banned anyway Martin?

Find me examples when I have said that I think Radford is the right man for the job? In fact you will find that I have been critical of him on many occasions, just because I don't mention him every single post doesn't mean that I think Radford is the right coach for us.
I await your response and quotes of me being a Radford cheerleader?

Fair enough, I have no inclination to go through posting history, FC need to kick on, and I think we all agree an attacking coach to help Radford would be a definite improvement.

Definitely.
I posted a couple of weeks ago that I'd resigned myself to the fact that Radford was staying for 2016, and the best we could realistically hope for between now and then would be the signing of at attacking coach for pre-season.

The massive question is "who", and I hate myself for this, but I think a certain Mr P Cooke could be the answer (I now need to have a shower for even contemplating that!)

Personally I agree ... Cooke has good game vision and good passing technique & skills, I'd rather have Cooke than Horne on this basis(as Horne's name has being rumoured) as attack coach.

Horne is already in the set up, if he had anything to offer surely he would have done. A nice guy, but no real brains to mentor anyone else.

| Horne will coach the 23's next year, but will still be involved with the first team aswell.
Anyone who has seen the 19's this year will have seen the good rugby they play, how much input he has on our attacking structure is anyones guess. I did think we played better rugby in the 8's when the pressure was off, even yesterday once we stopped dropping the ball we played some good rugby and scored some good trys (Our right hand side anyway).

As people have said on other threads, Logan was very impressive in attack yesterday. Very much looking forward to him cementing his spot next season. Got sat down big time at one point but carried on and looked great.
