If Agar wins us the CC and we finish in the play off, i would be happy to give him another 1 Year contract.

Problem is CC final and play off are in Aug and Sep, could be wait until then?

Too much of a risk for me.

The month of April is a massive month for Agar IMO, this could make or break him as Hull FC's coach.

As an example, at the end of last season someone at the back tried to start up a chant of "Agar out" and he was jeered and told to sit down by many people in that section of the crowd and not one person joined in with him.

Is there a silent majority out there who are prepared to give him more than eight matches when currently the team is on the same points as the fourth placed team, eight points above the bottom team and only four points off the top?'"

Said the same last season when the personal insults were flying around on here there was no evidence of unrest or chanting etc. I'm not sure how representative a few posters on here are - certainly the extreme arguments for and against Agar (mostly against) that you see on here are not evident amongst fans at home or away games in my experience.

you MUST be going to a different FC than me then and many other posters on here
From where I sit week in week out at the KC amongst families and older supporters EVERYONE wants rid of Agar and has done for some time, you get to know those you see every home game and they certainly would agree that agar is NOT the way forward, as for away matches I can say 150% that no one around me at Salford wears agar coloured specs !!!

Quote: PAUL M "That ain't gonna happen though, the CC would not be enough imo but GF would change things. We need a top class manager for our club and until we do I don't think we will compete with the top 2/3 sides. I'd love Agar to prove me wrong but I see absolutely no evidence of this so far.'"

as would all of us!!! however as you just noted we see one step forwards against Hudds, Saints etc and then 3 steps backwards...
consistency is everything in sport.....

Alex Fergusons interview this morning after MU being beaten in Germany was the sign of a great leader when he said " we have a simple execution of play plan that we use every match to great effect,, then for some reason last night we simply gave away too much ball and looked like no one listened in the pre match briefing..(where have we seen that before however it was this statememnt that sets aside the greats when he said)
I shall take a day off as will the players and i will ask them to look at themselves as I will do to myself and we shall have a talk about it when we return with the other coaching staff and those that dont have the right attitude will be replaced, there is no sentiment for failure at manchester United"

Cmon Agar use a masters tactics!!

By the very nature of things this forum is not going to be representative of the sentiments of the 10,000 FC fans who regularly turn up for our home games. The sample is too small for one thing, and for another internet forums tend to have a higher percentage of people who hold 'extreme' views than the general population.

Mind you, your chosen method of comparison seems rather odd. Just because people don't want to start chanting 'Agar out' at home games doesn't mean that they're happy with the coach or want him to continue in the job.

I certainly want him out but I would never stand up at the KC and chant it.

The reason I mentioned the chanting thing is that it seems that that is exactly what happens on these threads after every game: one person starts it and everyone joins in. So I half-expected the same last year at the ground but, in fact, no-one did - not one single person.

I always find myself saying in these threads that "I am not sure about Agar myself but".... but I think there have been signs of improvement this year with a relatively newly formed team and coaching staff (around Agar) with an improved work ethic both on and off the field so I want to see a few more games before I join the throng on the weekly bash Agar thread (I did eventually join the Thorman Out brigade). I must admit that the Salford game tempted me to throw my hat into the ring.
