| Hasn't bridge just signed a 3 year contract extension at wire? Why would he leave warrington for Hull?
I like lynch, good forward and would be a decent gamble on a 2 year deal with a small fee.
o'carroll is maybe worth a risk if he's really cheap.
We must be looking overseas if we went to the trouble of getting heremia off quota. Shame we didn't sign the guy rovers have picked up this week

O'Carroll has sorted out his injury problem and although a gamble could pay off and Id expect him not to be on loads so could be a good bit of buisness. Bridge Plays for Warrington and is an England International so cannot be that bad can he ?'" That's just it, they're the exception rather than the rule, you're talking greats of the game. Petero could probably go for another 10 years, he's a freak.

You've said this before, but 2 good examples don't mean a thing to whether or not Lynch will last that long. Most players are still starting to wind down by Lynch's age.

How on earth can you know that O'Carroll has sorted out his injury problem? Just because he's got back to fitness does not mean he will remain fit. Wigan obviously still aren't convinced if they're letting him go, and I reckon their physios and doctors know a damn sight more about him than ours at the moment.

His Stats back him up that he is still producing the goods so until a dip in his form I will gladly give him the benefit of the doubt.
Wigan have got plenty of quality and im sure bringing in even more so some good uns have to be released its as simple as that. Regarding his injury he seemed pretty upbeat on the wigan website about getting over his problems. Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but I agree he wouldnt have been one of my signings

| I remember Wolfie and perhaps Paul as well been very confident that Chase was coming to FC.

OK, here's a challenge for you to convince me: There are 30 teams in the NRL and SL combined, let's say 4 first team props. So that's 120 props between them. So see if you can name me another 22 props who played at their peak at 33 or over, and let's say within the last ten years to make it a fair career-span length.
EDIT: Also, Cusack's stats were cracking before he came over. 18 months later he was pretty much washed up.

Well what do you expect him to say when he's out of contract, really? "Well, I'm glad to be back at the minute, but I'm pretty sure it'll be temporary 'cos my body's f**ked"?

I posted 10 pages back about O'Carroll and Lynch.
Never mentioned Bridge, don't think its happening. Shillington I memtioned 6 months ago but can't see it coming off with the other two props signing. Overseas spot for a centre.

If your body is fooked up you would just retire and do something else.
bloody hell I aint going to spend hours trawling threw stuff to see if i can name that amount of players and im sure people would have different opinions if they was in form or not. Fact is other props have done it so you cannot say he wont do it just because of his age. Players are looking after there bodies alot more these days and can play longer if they so wish to. If there was younger top class props we could go after and could get them under the salary cap im sure pearson and co would do. Obviously there isnt so they have or are trying to get Lynch. The problem with most fc fans is they always find the negatives ...ellis to fat ....o'carrol not going to play hardly anygames....bridge is over-rated although plays for one of the top 2 teams in the league and is an England international . The thing people dont get is there is a salary cap we cannot just go and buy everyone like wigan used to do. And like most people have said im sure there is still at least an overseas signing to come so we have to be patient. I still say more important then if any of these signings are going to come off or not is getting rid of Agar as until he is gone we are going knowhere.

Depends if you can do something else, or can accept the fact that your body's not up to it. Or if somebody's daft enough to offer you a contract.

My suggestion was more about the fact that if it was at all commonplace for props to play on at top form for as long as you keep suggesting, 10 years' worth of rugby would give you plenty of examples to choose from. The fact of the matter is, most start to decline shortly after 30 and retire or drop down the divisions before they hit 35. It isn't impossible Lynch will play past 34 and still be playing well, but the law of averages says it isn't likely either.
Totally agree about Agar, I think it's now a case of the majority do.

Yes but we are looking at lynch for 2 years I would have thought. And Im convinced he would still do us a very good Job and a pack with Moa,Ogre and Lynch is a pretty dam good pack.
