| Quote Rupert Pupkin="Rupert Pupkin"Fair play to Pearson, cant blame him if true. The team needed to be told a few home truths, though I would i would have thought a huge amount of blame must be direced towards McRae and Gentle. Its their squad, its their tactics, its their coaching. Pearson is not a rugby league man and needed guiding by these two and looking on the evidence of players brought in and results, they are both failing miserably to help Pearson out.
Oh and Gentle in!!!'"
First off, the tactics and coaching aren't anything to do with McRae.
Secondly, it isn't Gentle's tactics. That's a large part of the problem.
Thirdly, it all worked well enough last season with the same coach.

I thought McRae has an insight and influence of all thats going on at the club, a bit like Waites at Catalan. It wouldnt surpise me if he has a say.
It may have gone well last season, but this seasons signings have been poor, it wasnt just the supporters that believed all the hype, it was the whole rugby league community.

| Quote Kosh="Kosh"Not strictly true. We get to play the 'big boys' at least twice a season regardless of how we do against the 'small fry'.

The point I was making was, it's all well and good seeing yourselfs as a big club, but until you can regularly beat mid or lower table teams like us, Wdnes and London you are far from a big club, each game is worth the same 2 points but also you need to beat the teams around you, not just have a cup final against Leeds twice a year.

We're a big club in terms of support and finances. Just not a successful one on the pitch. We're still one of the more successful outside of the usual suspects though. Which probably says a lot about the competitiveness of SL.

You can imagine any scenario you like, but McRae has no direct influence on the coaching.

We've made two poor signings IMO. The rest have been about as good as was available.
And I can't help what the 'whole rugby league community' might or might not have made up in their own heads. Anyone with any scrap of comprehension skills, or even a basic ability to read and listen, would have known better.

Can't really argue with that especially in respect of recruitment. Regardless of how difficult it is to get "the right players" there's no getting away from the fact that it's their job to do that and to do it better than their counterparts at other clubs. I'm pretty sure that their standing and influence within the game were major factors as to why they got the jobs , so they could persuade those players to come. These two were a signal of our intent , we became "big spending Hull" and expectations were raised. At the moment there's no getting away from the fact that they are failing big time. On the actual coaching front ,coaches who coach teams stuffed with the very best players essentially just have to man manage those players our coach and his team especially at the moment have to somehow get the whole team to perform better than the sum of it's individual parts , that's their job. Until they do they've got to lake their share of the blame.

| Hearing of trouble in the camp . Certain players not happy with the regime .
If true play the young lads tomorrow . We have nothing to lose.
Evidence of the friction came to fruition, to certain people in the hospitality suites on Friday.

That rumour resurfaces literally every single time we go through a bad patch. So, about three times a season for the last five years.

Quite.
I'm also loving the number of folk on Twitter who seem happy to believe alleged player opinions on the current coach while cheerfully forgetting that many of these same players spent the last few years insisting that Agar was a wonder coach.

Boring. We get that every time we have a couple of poor results.
