| Statistically drinking is more dangerous to your health than smoking is. But me having a beer doesn't have an effect on those around me, but me smoking does so I have no problem waiting 2 hours for a cig. Although if most of you argued the health problem rather than just ranting about what a disgusting habbit it is then people might be more considerate to your arguement.

Could you point me at the peace of legislation I'd be breaching if I lit up in the stand area in a stadium? Some stadiums in the UK have smoking stands.

Depends on the definition of enclosed. Our stadium as far as im aware is enclosed by the way that it has one wall around it and the stands do have a roof meaning its enclosed for me.

It's not enclosed.
AS QUOTED ABOVE.
www.smokefreeengland.co.uk/faq/l ... l#enclosed
The Health Act 2006 sets out that premises that are open to the public, or are used as a place of work (by more than one person or where members of the public might attend to receive or provide goods or services) are to be smokefree in areas that are enclosed or substantially enclosed. This includes both permanent structures and temporary ones such as tents and marquees. A roof includes any fixed or movable structures, such as canvas awnings.
Enclosed - Premises are considered to be enclosed if they have a ceiling or roof and, except for doors, windows or passageways, are wholly enclosed, whether on a permanent or temporary basis.
Substantially Enclosed - Premises are considered to be substantially enclosed if they have a ceiling or roof, but have an opening in the walls, which is less than half of the total areas of walls. The area of the opening does not include doors, windows or any other fittings that can be opened or shut.

How do you work out thats its not enclosed from what youre quoting, it reads exactly the opposite to me. Rather than copying and pasting verbatim from the webpage why dont you explain to me your rationale cos im not getting you currently?

| To be honest, it seems clear enough to me. I don't reall see how you can say it's enclosed by that definition and thought posting the guidance was better than paraphrasing. If you think that's enclosed, would you like me to build you a similar style extension on your living room? I'm sure the people that get went when it rains would disagree with you too.
