We gave Radford another deal because he has earnt one with his performances this season and we did try for another prop but Fielden stayed put and LMS went to Saints.

We showed when Long and Horne played with Tansey at Fb that we are a good side, like I said if we keep them fit then we can challenge. Especially now that we are bringing in cover.

Well time will tell but I think its crazy having to take people like washbrook who is a loose forward and berro who is hooker/centre out of position all the time when we really should have a better option tbh.

Look at Leeds they have Sinfield,Burrows and Maguire all three are playmakers.

We seem to always just have the one. And if he gets injured then we are in trouble. All the best teams have more then one playmaker.
Regarding kr they had cooke and dobson they have now decided cooke is no good and got in Green. Yes they have been very lucky with dobbo not getting injured but they came into the season with TWO playmakers and both could lead the team around the park imho. We yet again had just the one in Long. Thats our problem.

The point is if your main players are injured then it's hard for cover players to have the same impact. For the odd game it's fine but over most of the season it shows. We can't replace Horne or Long this season as they both have contracts. We are bringing in cover, it won't be a star player but it will help. This time next year the options will be much different as we will have more money to play with to bring in some real quality.

Paul its all about opinions I personally think that only long could guide the team around the park horne cannot.

all the three leeds players can all lead the team round the park if all three get injured then yes thats bad luck and they would stuggle.
but thats three who have to get injured instead of just the one.

I also agree that 2012 is the big year for us as we will have so much space in the salary cap.

To me we could have brought cooke back in on quite a low wage and gave him a chance to recapture his fc form...if he fails then we havent broken the bank so not a great loss but if he succeeds well then we could be off to wembley or the grand final with a bit of luck. long and cooke seems a much better fit then long and horne.

Plus if long got injured again then cooke could lead us around the park and we wouldnt have to pull the likes of berro out of position also our backs would get plenty more of the ball.

But rule has stated he aint coming back so not really much point going on about cooke. All im saying is that he would have been a low risk signing.

The problem is, only one of them is capable of playing in the halves (and then only at 6 IMO), and we aren't well drilled enough throughout the team to help them out. We should be far more organised than we are without Long IMO. Whilst other teams suffer a dip in creativity/spark, everyone still knows what they should be doing. We end up like a youth team, where everyone just looks for somebody else to take charge.
