Quote: El Masa Loco "Can Connor play centre? If so I'd play him instead of Griffin. He needs to spend a month with Yeaman to show him what he should be doing'"

Yes. He was starting centre v wire and wigan and played most the game there v widnes

Quote: bonaire "Personally dont like Connor on the bench but makes sense to cover at 9
I like Ellis off the bench provides the impact we need.
Fash deserves another outing but think Radford will go for Turgut who has a bit more pace'"

Not sure why you're so against Connor on the bench. In 8 games we've lost a back to injury in 4 of them.

Simple reason is four forwards on the bench served us well last season and i see no reason to change.
We have lost bench impact since Pritchard went so for me we need to have another forward.
I see what you mean about losing a back to injury and thats just bad luck and coincidence that Connor was on the bench but Radford seems to want to find a place for Connor for the wrong reason as he is just a utility player and nothing special.
That said Griffin is a major disappointment and giving Connor a run at left centre wouldnt surprise me.

As yet he isn't doing quite enough going forward to outweigh his defence, but it's early days yet.

I thought he played well on the wing one game this year went Talanoa went off (Saints)

At one point I'd like to see this as our backs

Fonua
Carlos
Connor
Griffin

Will be faster than the one that plays on Friday and most of last season.

I'm never wrong, ask my wife.

Anyway, back to your selection, you'd play players out of position and leave out our most effective winger? Are you peter gentle or richard agar?

Talanoa our most effective winger, not sure I agree, too slow, poor defensively and poor under the high ball, Fonua is a better winger IMO. Talanoa is great at making yards but I'd like more from my winger, you talk about our backs being slow then big up Talanoa icon_lol.gif

Griffin is among our best metre men. 9 plus metres a carry. Far in front of anyone else in the backs
Not his fault our attack has been lacking to really release him. For a half v wigan we were flowing and he had gelling on toast
Defensively he ain't gonna be as good as yeamo. Few are. But I've found most of what he's been blamed for a bit laughable. A winger got 3 tries scored outside of him and it was griffins fault?
Salford he was gash granted. But so was everyone. The left side is much the same as the right last yr. It's a bit out of sync but I've not seen too many one on one misses. A couple stand out but I've also seen Mini and Sneyd do it too

Personally I can't fathom what you've been watching for 3 years. He's even won our player of the year in that time

We have moved on since then IMO, I think he is an OK winger, but to continue to challenge I think we need better, although not sure there will be better available so he might end up staying. To be honest he will stay as Radford really rates him.

As I've said it early days, but he has cost us a few try's and although great in the first half against Wigan he was playing against an injured Gelling.

Mini will always miss tackles with the anmount of work he has to do and plays too many minutes, Sneyd like most halfs struggles at times with his defence.

Hopefully Griffin will improve as I feel he has real potential.

Agreed - Talanoa isnt perfect but hes a very good player - what player is 100% in all areas? If he was he'd be on top dollar in the NRL so i really dont get peoples critisism
