thats the issue tho...im not botherd what other clubs have done...its us that im concerned about and some of our recruitment has been awful at times |

Obst is a very good player. He can play both halfback and hooker to a good standard and that's invaluable in any squad. He'll never be described as world class, but he's shown a lot more than Long has already this season. Whilst I think Agar is wide open to the majority of criticism coming his way, the signing of Obst is not something you can knock him for, in my opinion. |

Yeah we have recruited awful players at times but do you think the squad we have is strong enough to challenge for top 5/6?
If the clubs is to reach full potential I think they need a top quality coach because lets be honest we don't have a bad bunch of a team do we? |

i agree regards the long scenario...but as for obst....i just dont think we will go any further with him in our team that about 6-8th place.....just my opinion.... |

Agreed. If you want to criticise signings, Obst can be left out of the list for mine. |

no i dot think so..
id say wigan,saints,leeds,wire,huddesrfield,cas and possibly kr all have a better chance than we do of making the top 5/6 |

It's a pretty odd one, if you don't mind me saying. If everyone was playing to their potential, Obst would be even better than he has been. Improved go-forward and quicker play the balls would allow him to exploit the gaps in tired defences to great effect.
All that aside, I'd take the 2011 Obst (so far) over the 2010 Berrigan any day of the week. |
