| Quote: HRC99 "Whilst there is clearly a massive problem in the current coach, Hull FC remains a very well run club. As you yourself say, "they have bought stability, profit and growth". There are more than a few clubs out there who would kill to be in the financial position that Hull FC is.
We should not dismiss the importance of those three things lightly.
There is little wrong with the club that cannot be rectified by a new coach and some success under that coach. Experience shows that a winning Hull FC side brings people through the gate. Over the years, any run of form has almost always brought with it an increase in the gate.
I can see no evidence that the "club is ripe for a take over" either. Who is going to buy it?
The reality is that the club has very little in assets (it doesn't own it's own ground and doesn't have it's own training facilities) and hardly makes a vast profit either. This means that the value and attractiveness to a potential purchaser is very limited. There isn't likely to be any significant increase in revenue from television in the near future and rugby league does not have the cash cow that is international rugby that union enjoys either.
The shareholders have been here some time and have given no sign of wishing to move on. We are highly likely stuck with the current board for quite some time to come.
Whilst I personally think that Agar should have been removed some time ago, as he had started the season in charge and the board will have looked at the fixtures and known that it was highly likely that we would not start the season well. This always meant that they would be unlikely to remove Agar early in the season. Hopefully, the fans' reaction, the team's performances and the declining revenue will spur them into action this week and we can all move on and get behind the team on the pitch once more without this soap opera.
The club is in a strong financial position and looks well set for years to come. The board's main fault has been loyalty and there are many worse faults for a board of directors of any sports club to have.'"
The club are in a strong financial position because of the large numbers of fans who have continued to buy season passes and spend large amounts of money in the shop in spite of the shiite that has been served up on the pitch in recent seasons. It's like a house of cards though and it only needs a relatively small drop in attendances for it to all fall down around their ears .
Didn't rule state recently that we need 10k fans through the gates to spend the maximum salary cap? We're not too far above that figure now and another poor season will see many people not renewing passes next year. I wavered but renewed on the back of a top 6 finish last year. I certainly won't next season if things don't improve significantly between now and the end of the season

I agree that there is the potential for it to fail but it would require a significant drop in attendance from where we are now for that to happen.
Either Agar will start winning consistently (highly unlikely) which will bring fans back or he'll get the bullet and a new coach (much more likely) appointed which will also bring fans back.
The recent drops in attendance and revenue for the club will hasten Agar's demise but it is very unlikely to affect the viability of the club. Agar will be gone long before that becomes even a remote possibility.

I paid cash and was stood in a queue for several minutes, wish I hadn't been so patient now.

Well that fits in with some things I've been told, I know a lot of sponsors are very unhappy, especially that our CEO wan't even present at the game.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
Regards,

| All that's been on here, Parker hasn't done much digging for his 'scoop'.

"I definately feel there will be another try Ray" - Jonathon Davies, Saturday 27th August 2005.: |
|
| Well I'm sorry to say but I am one who has already started voting with my feet. I do have a season pass so in truth they have my hard earned already BUT until somrthing changes, they wont be getting any more of it.
I have been getting more disappointed with our style and structure of play over a number of months. Nothing changes and I can find other things to do. Sad for me to say that but it is true.
The players appear to have very little in the flair dept. We never seem these days to attack open side from our own 20. In Bombers day we scored some magnificent tries from our own half. We look inacaple of even trying that kind of expansive rugby these days. i would add that I feel RL in general and not just FC has become more safety first in the last 5 years or so which has had an impact of the visual treat so to speak. I want more for my money than I'm getting at present that is for sure.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.

| Do you know I am quite sick of the whole business to the point of just switching it off and walking clean away.
I know I am not alone and that is the biggest danger this club faces, the longer this goes on the more fans will turn there backs on the club and the sport .
