Said the same myself , if miller does go I can't see who we"d get to replace him . Not many options about really . McDonnell might be more long term thinking , as I'm sure shaul won't want to carry on not playing , plus McDonnell wages might be better spent else were .

Not seen anything in miller to suggest he will be good enough for us in the next 2 seasons. We don't need an inexperienced rookie, we need a player who can come in and do a job now (easier said than done but I doubt the club would move him on unless they had a replacement lined up) , not one who will probably leave if and when he ever gets to the required standard. As for McDonnell, if he's going to miss the start of the season anyway we may as well cut our losses and spend the money where it's really needed

We need to keep Miller, unless we have someone better lined up (which I doubt) then he is a must, certainly showed potential and with a full pre-season and playing with Horne I think he will work out well.
