There are a fair number of very thinly disguised racists on RLFans, as there are xenophobes and general idiots, the boards do not suffer by their continued abscence. If anything, we (and society at large) are better off without them.

Telling a joke with the words...irishman and scotsman are deemed racist by some on here.

Could be considered the thin end of a wedge, innit? Let those go and you'll get people asking why they're fine, but jokes about Chinese, Jews, Gypsies, Blacks, Pakistanis or gay people aren't. Whatever you do, and wherever you draw the line, somebody will think it is wrong.

Indeed, but it is a subjective judgement. Sometimes it is pretty clear cut, sometimes less so.

Even The Judge's ban is regarded as controversial by at least one poster - albeit, somebody apparently very close to him.
