| Done mine too.
Also asked for a new coach please.
Wont be buying a pass if we switch to Sundays as I won't be able to go often enough to make it worthwhile.

| just done mine - interesting to see how many votes Richard Whiting has compared to the others for supporter's player of the year. I reckon a there's quite a few on here who would disgree.
My last comment was that there's probably a silent majority that don't subscribe to the anti-Agar brigade's opinions.

They are very silent if that's the case, which I don't think it is.
I can honestly say that I personally don't know a single Hull fan (I mean away from this message board) that is in favour of him staying. I'm talking family, friends, colleagues and the people I sit near at the KC.

1 Near me blames the players all the time.....then we point out its Agar that sends them out with the "gameplan"

I'm glad you make the point about this site not necessarily being representative of the average fan's views. I think you can see by the paltry number of posts over the past weeks that it is no longer a site that people find appealing for discussing their club.
When I'm at the game, it is extremely rare that Agar's credentials come up. People tend to focus on individual performances (Briscoe dropping the ball for example) and, naturally, officiating. I know many who know that he might not be the best but that he also doesn't have the resources of the top four clubs (money, training facilities or playing staff). But he has potential. I think people like Noble have had their day and to bring him in would be a big backward step for me.
I personally wanted a top-four finish this year and/or a major final appearance and said on here that Richard Agar probably ought to go if this was not achieved. Well, if he doesn't achieve the GF (which looks pretty likely) then I would stand behind what I said. However, I do think that the team is looking more and more like the team I want to go to watch and I believe that is down to the coach but particulary a coach who has some options in the halves and doesn't have his main salary cap spend sitting in the stands. If they put 50 points past Cas and then beat Warrington convincingly it might just prove that the current form is not just a flash in the pan. If we reached the GF playing as we are now it would be a shame to let him go just as the club's investment in him begins to bear fruit.
As ever, just my humble opinion and I know it's not the most fashionale to be spouted here.
btw I haven't formed my opinions fully on our new owner yet.

I think a lot of it is the growing apathy towards the club. I find that not only is there less activity on here, there's less keenness in actually talking about the club to people I used to. It's become more of a passing joke. Fans are just disenchanted, there's only so much to say, and it's all been said because nothing is changing.

Completely undermines the rest of your post IMO. He has the maximum possible cap and has had transfer funds in the past too, and the squad of players is now one HE assembled. There are at least 2 clubs above us who can't say the same about all 3 points (actually 4, but Leeds and Saints did carry over good squads). He has had just about everything possible given to him, more than plenty of his counterparts have got to work with, and he has failed to deliver. If he has potential, what more exactly does he need for him to fulfil it?

The thing with that, is that we have consistently shown that what we tend to do is turn it on for a few games, mainly against bottom 4 teams, then either get complacement against a poor side and play abysmally or get brought back down to Earth with a bump once we play a decent side. There have been the Wire and Catalans games as a couple of exceptions (although there's an argument we caught Catalans on one of their bad days), but we need those to be far more often. Over 4 years what he's shown is that we'll come up short when it counts, I don't want us to overlook all of that just because of one ok run of results, they don't show that everything's all better.

Same here. Whilst I knew some who weren't as staunch about getting rid of him earlier in the season, there was nobody who was in his corner. Most of those indifferent about him have now got to the stage were they want rid too, though. I think enough is finally enough for most.
I would say that the vociferousnous of the calls for Agar are probably the minority, but not the desire to see the back of him.

Good - that's how opinions work - yours is different to mine

If you think that the salary cap is the thing that restricts quality of squad etc then your naivety (whilst heartwarming) undermines your post (I think the word you used was "completely"icon_wink.gif

This is the crux of my post. If this is another flash in the pan then you're right, but what if it isn't? If we flounder in the playoffs (or don't make them then let him go. If we make the GF then I believe he deserves anothe chance. However, there are those on here who would be rid of him whether or not we win the GF - that seems absurd to me.

Number one - I am no Agar apologist. Let's get that straight.
Number 2, perhaps he has sorted it out. I will judge at the end of the season. That's kind of my point.
