How many clubs actually own there own ground.....so we have a training pitch and bankrupt the club,which i think you would be glad to see in a pervase way.......only thing we need is a damn fine coach and thats us sorted.

I accept that the club have looked and are still looking but why does a big club like ours consistently fail to put a squad together that can actually seriously challenge at the top of SL ? This season's squad is a mid-table squad again but when the injuries kick in, we'll once again blame "bad luck".

Something has got to be wrong hasn't it ? It can't all be "bad luck".

We didn't need to get rid of Dowes and Radford. Radford is a very good player whose work goes unnoticed sometimes, Underrated IMO. Dowes isn't awesome but you cannot have a complete team of world class players, some need to be average. We have more options in the forwards now to move things around.


It's not like we haven't tried, we just need the right player to come along FOR COVER. 2011 is to be our main recruitment drive and we cannot risk getting that one wrong.


Whiting is likely to be our right centre as most people seem to want so don't see where 'FAILED' comes into it..


Again we are trying, but don't spend the money for the sake of spending it.. Good players can come available during the season.

you are seriously deluded if you think we will be challenging with this crop of players.....id be amazed of we even make wigan and co. break sweat.....

doesnt matter tho does it...theve spent big and won big..we have not...dont forget its us that got caught fiddling the cap afew years back not wire!!!

Getting Smith as coach did that as they had the players under Cullen and Lowes.

Last year we came within a game of 4th place, despite injuries, playing awfully at times and dropping points in games we should be winning. If that's what we can do in a crap season, what can we do in a decent season?

Good luck with injuries in key positions, a decent signing before May (someone always becomes available) and who knows.

hmmmmm....beg to differ, but you could say getting a good coach is part of the recruitment process....
hence us having a assistant in charge who looks like taking us backwards and them, who have got a top coach.....

enough for most coaches to get the boot, what else can he do wrong??

We have replaced a winger and replaced a full back. We require COVER for halves. We already HAVE halves. Yes, cover is required, but to say we're a laughing stock because we haven't signed cover is beyond me.

Agree, and I think the club should have got rid, or not offered an extension when they did. Fair play to them though, they're backing him in every way possible and learn't from previous coach sackings (Kear and Sharp).
