Its because he's too slow, a second row, not creative enough and not Danny Washbrook, please pay more attention

I 'd go with that . Not too much tinkering.

| Quote: Big Dave T "It's not about dropping him, it's about the conversation Agar has with him. Lets be honest here, Hally knew when he came into the team on the wing it was for a short period of time to cover Calders injury. FWIW its irrelevant anyway as Calders wont be back for Celtic.
If Agar has the correct conversation then Hally will take being replaced (not dropped) ok. Agar is going to have a challenge this year keeping all of the backup players happy anyway.'"
Agree. Agar's man-management skills to the fore here.
But what's the news on Calderwood? What have you heard regarding timescales?

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |
|
| We are in a fortunate position this week of having a 9 day turnaround so if the knocks mentionned are just that then I expect the same team again next Sunday unless Calderwood is fit then he should come back into the team as a specialist winger.
Cant beleive the comments re Moa been a wasted signing! Its a long season starting in the middle of winter through the heat of summer (hopefully) and back into wetter conditons late in the year. Moa will have a big role to play without a shadow of doubt before the season is out, as will Craig Hall in the centre position.
Horses for courses and squad rotation is essential for a successful season.

| Given the 9 day turnaround we have this week and the fact it's Quins (no disrespect) the following friday i wouldn't change unless injuries dictated, but as soon as Calderwood is fit i would have him back in, tough on Craig Hall but Whiting and Yeaman are doing ok in his position so he too will have to wait his turn. But he's not fit so it's a mute point!

| Quote: hullbg "I dont think we should drop players but i am all for a bit of rotation to give some of the big lads a break when we can. Fixtures like Crusaders & Salford (No offence to them but arguably 2 of the weakest sides in the comp) are games that big clubs will use to rest big players. We certainly have the strength in depth in the forwards to rotate them a bit without losing any go forward on the pitch as well.'"
Spot on!
Now we have the strength in depth we should make the most of it. Squad rotation is needed to give players that bit of extra time to recover from niggling knocks. Leeds have been masters of this for the past few seasons.
Injuries have been compounded by players having to play on because of the lack of depth we've had over the last two seasons. Although there's strong competition for places, the players should understand if they're not named in the squad.

| Quote: fc legend "i'd love to see turner, washy, moa and burnett get some game time but if we start swapping players round after the last two performances i think it sends the wrong message out. Those players who have the shirts now deserve to keep them. Hall had to work for his try, it wasnt a strole. I hope he keeps his place! Injuries pending i'd be very tempted to go same again. Injuries will come at some point and all the guys will get a chance. 25 rounds still to go.'"
Agree with this completely. I would though just take a look at who may have niggles or slight knocks, and rest them for the right reasons. But, if everyone is fit, play em.
