| Quote: Hutchie "Im suprised that buses still allow passengers to stand and that no one hasnt claimed for falling over when a bus brakes'"
Just grabbing my coat and heading for the bus stop now!!!!
The first question that should be asked......"Should this girl have known she shouldnt be standing on something that is OBVIOUSLY NOT meant to be stood on??????"
If her money grabbing family get a 'few beer tokens' from this......then the tit giving them such a reward is obviously as retared as the girl stood where she shouldn't be and leaning on a window!
Just an observation!!!!

27608.jpg Motto of the week -
It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.:27608.jpg |
|
| Quote: Standee "Yes, DRIVING, it isn't the drivers job to control badly behaved scroates who'se parents would rather blame someone else than their own lack of discipline.
Parents need to start taking responsibility for their kids, no kid should be fat, no kid should be illiterate, no kid should be without respect for their elders.
End of the day, parents need to stop being their kids best friend, and start being their biological guardian. I am glad to say all of my FC following friends who have kids look after them, but they dont apologise for their indescretions, they punish them (fairly), which is why we choose to spend time with them.'"
I can't take you seriously anymore.
That is utter cack. You even managed to turn it into Hull FC versus the rest of the world

| Seems to me that the driver isn't at fault at all and that all the child is guilty of is 'Messing' about on the bus, which i know is wrong but at 12 years old on a School bus is bound to happen.
The real people in the wrong here are the parents, they are the ones who are making the claim, they will see pound signs instead of just been thankful that their child wasn't more seriously injured.

Now THAT'S parenting!

Had she not been standing on top of something your not even supposed to sit on and behaving like a prat none of this would have happened either. She could quite easily have just fallen over on the bus and cracked her head open whilst behaving like a little prat. I suspect her "parents" would have found something else to try and blame to get some cash out of it though. Hudge and his pathetic adverts have alot to answer for.
So because she was somewhere she shouldn't have been, doing something she shouldn't have been and had an accident they should be compensated? What exactly is the basis of the claim anyway? No loss of earnings and no serious damage as far as I can tell?

I might go and climb on top of the King Billy statue......there are no railings around it, no signs saying "Dont climb on this statue".....So....if/when I fall and bust my head.....Anyone know where I can go to make a claim?????

You are hardly in a position to suggest I face any-thing considering the insular pathetic generalisation you have towards children and parenting even though you are not a parent yourself. I am still trying to grasp the fact you believe parents should not consider their children their best friends...speak when your spoken to eh!!

I was never supervised and neither did we need supervising. If we were caught messing around the driver would stop the bus, warn us and carry on. If we carried on we would be ejected...it never got to that stage as we knew what would happen if we were, both from the school and when we got home!! I would like to know why the driver didn't stop the bus...she must've been able to see as the luggage rack is right at the front.

Or could it simply be a case of this being an emergency window that should never be unduly leant on due to it being next to a luggage rack??!!!

You know my kids and how Howard and I raise them and I hope we are included in the above friends. You know they are well disciplined and we can take them anywhere and that if it was either of mine who'd fallen through the window, they'd be dragged to Ellie Rose, made to apologise and wash the buses until they paid back the money to have the window replaced. However, I do like to think that they can see me as their best friend as well as a disciplinarian. Now Kieran is 14 I would like to hope that he can talk to me about anything and know that whilst I won't have the pi$$ taken out of me, I'm pretty fair and relaxed about a lot of things...especially when you consider how strict David is with him!!

Why is Hudgell defending anyone?
What has the girl been charged with that requires she needs defending?
Until you have even a slight inkling of how the English Legal System works, I'd refrain from making any comment.
It's you who have got this one wrong

It is, in fact, perfectly possible to bring kids up right and still be their best friend.
I'm not sure what a 'biological guardian' is BTW.
It always amuses me when non-parents give advice on parenting.

I was thinking of you, and our other friends that bring their kids into Charleston, all of the parents would have reacted the same as you suggest you would. I didn't mean the "best friends" bit as some have taken it, I have experience of some people who are so bothered about being friends with their kids that they forget they are also there to discipline them.
Kosh, you don't have to have children to know how to look after kids, believe me.
