Also had another worrying thought - joel monoghan doesn't currently have a club. He's a complete slug these days and we shouldn't be anywhere near him either

Even if he reinvests some of the cash to strengthen the team, he doesn't have to be lying about the finances. All he has said is that we need people to buy passes to support the club financially. That bit's not rocket science.
To me, it shows his commitment to Hull FC.
Being prepared to spend to, hopefully, bring success, and therefore increase the cash flow.
Speculate to accumulate. |

Could well be neither of those things, as you know.
We are at full cap with Westerman in. Say he's on £100k. We release him, but don't have the cash to replace his salary due to the parlous nature of the club's finances. But wait - we get a fee of £150k! Use some of that to replace Westerman bringing in a player on no more than £100k (otherwise we'd be over the cap) and use the balance to ease financial stress. You inserted the word "all". Has this been stated?

I think it was Salford who were after him but Lancashire newspaper reports indicate the deal has stalled and he might have to stay at Warrington who don't now have any cap left! Thats where that rumour has come from but he's too slow for me and I doubt its true! |

They have been chasing him for a year according to some RL journo's. I reckon if we'd managed to get Frank in last year (we tried apparently) he'd have been sold then. |

Agreed. I t also means we have rid of two of the three supposed bad eggs, and got cash. Watt's I think has probably matured out of it.
Really happy personally over the whole situation, think we have done better business than any time in the last 7 or so years. If we sign a decent outside back ,then all is good but don't want a signing for signing sake I would rather we kept the money until we needed it. |

Lineham has asked to stay a few weeks back , but also asked for a pay rise , probably what he's getting at Warrington . Not sure what the outcome was , but I can imagine raiders reply .
