We played Widnes at Swinton in 1980.

Since then most of our semi finals have been against Yorkshire opposition and played either in either Leeds, Hudds or Doncaster. Exception was when we played Saints in 2005 and Warrington in 2013, both at Huddersfield (75 miles from Hull and probably closer to all Lancashire teams in the Super League)

Donny is only 4 miles closer to Hull than Wigan.

To be fair, apart from Feka, who is there more for off the field purposes, all of our overseas players add value to the squad, not sure you could say that about other overseas players including TT at Wigan. We have plenty of Hull born players, lots of other young English players including the 2 we have signed for next year.

We obviously can afford to run a academy team but just choose not too.

Segregation knocked off 600 of those seats. I personally would have taken 2 other people if I could have bought more then the one ticket my season pass allowed.

The RFL are being short sighted by choosing modest sized venues for events like this.

Hull are flying this season, unlike in 2008 when we took over 8k to the keepmoat. I'd expect in excess of 10k Hull fans for the semi final tickets permitting.

Whether it's in Yorkshire or lancashire is largely irrelevant. As long as it's roughly an equal distance to travel, surely that's what is a fair barometer. Headingley, big enough and distance favors Wigan.

Wasn't a fan of Keepmoat last time I went . Not sure if anythings changed since then but It was miles from anywhere & there was a lot of fans complaining about restricted views .

Elland Road would be big enough n Clise enough for most to travel too and inba good spot for neutrals and all 4 clubs would potentially receive more gate money??
