Hull KR Chairman Neil Hudgell, August 26th, 2014 said.. "In fact, the days of us signing any players from across the river are over. Our fans are loyal, passionate and only interested in one club. Taking players from our nearest rivals doesn't fit in with that brief.":8570.jpg

Quote: Legends and Icons "Is that the old chap who always sits at the front ?'"

He certainly did tonight. As soon as I heard his voice I recognised it from the dreaded Blunderside moan-ins.

Not a bad night, the picture quality and sound was perfect from where I was sat, about 5 or 6 rows back.

Must admit to wondering if there would be a comment warning about questions regarding local paper stories of the last 24 hours but there wasn't any and nobody asked.

The entire panel was on terrific form and there was a huge positivity pouring out from each of them.

The set up at Bishop Burton got a lot of focus and Pearson stated they would be investing a lot to attract the best youngsters of the area to that facility. He also stated that Hull have the pick of the young talent coming through at the moment.

As head of Hull's media and marketing, James Clarke is a top geezer. He hosts these forums from the top table and is very good at it. If he ever decides to leave Hull FC, a future in stand up awaits.

(Oh, and he bought me a pint as well.)

so, having read the last three pages of this thread I know the picture quality was poor, some people are staring to see how inept the marketing side of the club is but not much else. The HDM tells me that we've offered Briscoe an "astronomical three year deal" which I am taking as code for "Briscoe is going, but we did try and keep him" (quite why we've offered him anything near "astranomical" is beyond me, but I am in the minority with that view I'd imagine)

what else was said?

on the comments page on an HDM article from yesterday some KR fans are passing comment about Pearson being worried about "talks between Hull City Council and the Allams" and that the "SMC agreement is a mill stone"...can someone enlighten those of us who didn't go or watch as to what was said..please?

Nothing really newsworthy came out , the most surprising thing was that no one at the club was aware of , had considered or had pointed out to Adam that the deadline on discounts for kids passes was too early even though they were scratching their heads wondering why kids passes hadn't sold as well as they had thought they would???????? There must be an argument for introducing another discount period across the board now to try to get to 9000.

Quote: Mrs Barista "There are free interviews on the website, and free weekly highlights are covered by SLtv, so what's the point in providing this also? The club have added the full match coverage as an incremental offer with a price to try and drive up revenue. These things cost to make available at a time when overall revenue is down. Providing extra free coverage will not help the club's profitability, and upgrading the app costs.'"

Yeah, why would we want more traffic on our website? Let's just leave it to SLTV. Not like we could have the package sponsored or work with new media partners to keep costs at a minimum. Other clubs face the same economic difficulties as us yet can offer these services.

was any reasoning given?

is the U19's there to be watched, or to provide a steeping stone to the senior team?

Bishop Burton gives the young lads the best start they could ever wish for to make them a super league player one day. Which is why they will be training there.

Plus Adam Pearson said it was not one of his best ideas about the youngsters passes and there and then said you want a pass for 60 quid instead of 100 ill do that now for you after the forum.

To be fair which i thought was a great gesture. He knew had made a tiny error and rectified it there and then!

I was there by the way and also asked one of the questions.

I've heard reports from some female fans that, the guy 4 rows from the front 7 in from the left was by far the best looking. Just ask Karen!

Booooooooooooooooooooooom!

Hoping for a new indoor training area if we can get the golf centre at YPI?

Does anyone know if Hull RUFC use any of our facilities?

It was said last night because of the weather and because they got so much done in Tenerife that and indoor training area would be a top priority for the first team. All in all if we cant spend more than the cap then improving the training conditions etc is what we will invest in instead.

That was one of the things that made me think the Larvin investment at KR of £15m was dubious, you don't need to spend that kind of money on an RL team with the salary cap in place.

That's maybe why we all joked how we were sure the investment was going to come at some point i mean its in the paper everyday surly it must come....................

Ha Ha

Ps Pearson also added that if it did come the investment because it is in the paper everyday so it must be true and he is stood there on craven parks ground so its a deffo from what ive heard...........
He said if it did come then all that would do is keep us on our toes to be the best team in the city.
