Wakefield said they was going to have a new ground when they came up and played some games at Barnsley.....Believe it when i see it even though they have got permission.......

Friday is without doubt a landmark day in the history of rugby League in Wakefield when the Wildcats fans will await an announcement outside the town hall at 11-00am as to whether Wakey have got outline planning permission for thie new ground adjacent the M62. If they get the green light everything is in place to have a new ground completed by Feb. 2012.
If they don't get it they are sunk, and will I believe be for the chop but all indicators point to them getting the permission granted or at the very least a public enquiry being called for. However I think it will go through so if it does, with Salford starting work on their ground next month, all the funding and permissions in place for Cas's new home with work scheduled to start next feb. and Widnes an automatic to come up as they meet all the criteria needed, who will go down? Because according to the Super League clubs the league will definately stay at 14, and if any club meets the necessary criteria then they must come up, but someone has to drop out, and it has to be in their words of a couple of years ago 'the least equipped club to meet the Franchise requirements set down for Super League membership'. Will in fact a team with a new ground still go down? Discuss ![]()
I Hope both Wakefield and Castleford stay alive - who goes out I really dont know.

HFC best ground in SL
Wigan best Football ground in SL
Wire decent new ground
Giants second best football ground in SL
Leeds best traditional ground though best stand half closed.
Saints nice new ground.
Cas nice new ground.
Crusaders cr4@ football ground. In Wales
Quins decent RU ground in south
Bulls bomb crater but big and better than team 14.
Wakey new stadium.
Salford new stadium.
Catalans best ground in France.
Rovers ????????? Shizzen hole !!!!!!

Nope, just a reasonable question and some good debate its certainly interesting now Wakey have the go ahead, there will be a bit of twitching in Cas I believe. Obviously Salford have their concerns despite their new ground being the most advanced of the three. They think they can maybe sign there way to a Franchise. I just think it is really interesting, obviously its a grade c club that will go because that was always the parameters set out, grades may have gone this time around but the old ones will still be pertinent this time. |

Well the department of th environment could call it in for an enquiry and there are a couple of transport issues to sort but as my sunday paper said today' Wakefield have got the get the thumbs up and are now just faced with a couple of procedural issues before they can start building'. Like two cases of urinating in a public place and being linked with a betting scandel, they are though just small issues to over come and should not stop the eventual outcome.

The timescale is and wakey have a very finite amount of time.
A PI now completly screws them.
