| A word of advice to your mods, if WireWonder has chosen your forum to be his next target you might as well ban him now and save your yourself a lot of trouble with warnings and having to listen to the drivel that spews out of him.

| Quote hullbg="hullbg"Indeed. Saints are massively understrength and we should be expecting a win. However these are the type of games we tend to go and lose, lets hope we are breaking from that.'"
And without wishing to labour the point, we're 5 points adrift of 7th, albeit with a game in hand. A must win.

At the same time though its very tight at the top and if we can put a run together we are not out of the top 4 race just yet.
Saints (H)
Salford (A)
Hudds (H)
Rovers (A)
Quins (H)
Bradford (A)
Wakefield (A)
There are a few tricky ones in there but all of them are winnable. If we aim for 6/7 or even just 5/7 we will be right in the mix.

| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"Don't mean to be a drama queen, but I think it's almost at the point where it's a must win for us to make the play-offs. Catalans won again v Hudds today, and Leeds are getting some momentum to go with Wire, Wigan, Saints and Hudds. If Saints have a lot of injuries, we need to take the opportunity, especially at home.'"
Yes we do have to win to maintain the run and stay in touch. However if we do we'll be just 6 points adrift of the top of the table

I think that's out of order, actually. Saints fans have every faith in the young Saints players, even the as yet untried ones. And Saints fans have grown in respect for Royce Simmons who has coached a team that has changed by the week in such a way as to put us in second spot. No excuses from me, just the reality of our team as it stands at present. It's backs to the wall for us. No Saints fan wants this or enjoys it but if our young guns beat your team on Monday, we will be jumping with joy as it will mean a mammoth task has been completed by both senior and junior staff. Frankly it looks impossible to me, knowing the degree of inexperience that is going out there, but hey, if you think Saints youngsters can take down Hull then I'll go for that with you!

We were saying this after the Catalans win today (cheers, Hudds, after the favour we did you last week ). Looks like 8th is going to be the most hotly contested spot for us stragglers, as the other seven pull away. We must win to even stay within 3 points - a loss and we're 3 victories adrift even with no other wins from the teams above us. Wakey need to do us a favour and much as I loath 'em "Come on, Wire".
Must win on Monday to give ourselves a starting chance in the new competition - the mini-league for the bottom 7 with only one prize - 8th spot.

Great post and to be 2nd with your injury plight is very good going. To be fair, though, your 1 - 13 still looks very good and is littered with experience. I expect us to take the game when the bench kicks in as that's where you look weakest owing to your hospital list.

Cas will drop from there.
If we win all our home games and beat everybody below us we'll do alright.
