indeed, that is certainly my view, he is a [idecent[/i player, quite possibly the best currently available, but he is by no means [iworld class[/i.
Is an ageing Lynch worth £40k and letting Dowes leave, yes, would I keep Dowes and say "no thanks" to Lynch at £80k, again, yes.
And comparing him to Menzies is just silly, Menzies isn't a prop who gets battered every other ptb. |

But again, I don't think anyone has been 'knocking' him. I think almost everyone is pretty much agreed that he is a very good player. There's just a reservation as to how much longer that will remain true, and therefore how wise it would be to spend big money for the short term.
And I still think you latch on to the rare examples of older players as some sort of guarantee Lynch will be the same, when in reality it is still far more often the case that players retire at about 33-34.

has immigration law changed, because I didn't read about it, Chase is subject to a suspended sentence and wouldn't get a visa for a new employer, we made an improved bid subject to UKBA clearance, but I'd heard it was denied.
if true then he is a good addition, Horne to Wakey? |
