All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

It all has a whiff of too good to be true. I do like that he's ruffling the RFL's feathers a bit as well as drawing publicity for the game, though.

Agreed. He seems determined to build a strong team at Salford so I like that he's putting his money where his mouth is as you say. But I don't like his Twitter and media comments about the team which I think is putting them under unnecessary pressure. Nor do I like how he handled the Noble/Harris affair. His comments about change in the rules of Super League are refreshing though.

| No not at all. If we're to sign another halve, it needs to be an experienced one.

No thanks.(only if Horne,Rankin & Miller are leaving)
How many running HB's do we need?
A HB with the ability to split open a defence, coupled with a good kicking game is what we need.

I genuinely think HTW is the man we are going to be pinning our hopes on. Good players of the type you describe are very rare. I think we will go with Rankin and Miller with Horne as back up until the end of next season, then the reigns go to the youngsters. I would like to sign a top class 7 for a couple of years for Wilson and Dean to learn from, but I don't think we will.

Taylor's Defo on, & Ryan Brierley is very much on the radar.

It would be intresting to see how Brierley would go in Superleague. A very good young championship scrumhalf with a excellent try scoring record. Worth a punt I suppose.

So was Jamie Ellis, so I hope the club has done a bit more research this time.
Age isn't that big a factor, Dobson was about 19 when he came over here and I would certainly sign Mark Sneyd given the chance.

Sounds similar to Rankin/Miller/Horne.
Take your pick .

| Brierley is going well in the Championship but, as others have mentioned, so was Jamie Ellis and that didn't work out too well for us. Could be worth a try but definitely a gamble IMO. Would like to think that if he was coming to us that it is alongside another more experienced HB.

He can score trys ok. But his defence is worse than Crooks
