Aspinwall, a 29-year-old who was a member of the Great Britain squad for the 2006 Tri-Nations series without winning a cap, was arrested in January for dangerous driving after crashing his car when being chased at high speed by police.
The following month he was given a suspended jail sentence of eight months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Rob Jackson, a former Wigan and Whitehaven centre.

He had a bad spell at Cas, probably to do with his off field issues. At Hudds he did a pretty good job in the backrow.
If his head is right and he is ready to play then he could surprise a few people and do a good job as a back up.
