Quote: JMSports_Ltd "Hudgell promised Clint Newton that Noble will not be the Coach according to Newton and I believe Dobson would not sign if Noble was going to be the Coach so I doubt it.

All I know is Morgs has been offered Cas but is waiting for Canterbury and the Wakey staff and players are expecting Rich Agar to be announced as their Coach for next year.

Iestyn has a job lined up which will be at Wigan or Leeds so it only really leaves Noble, Kear and Terry Matterson of the current SL type Coaches for the two Hull Jobs.

I would of thought if you can get him Terry Matterson is the best of those three without doubt.

Would like think Pearson is already talking to Aussie Coaches though, Hull FC is a massive club and can tempt coaches over much easier than Hull KR could I suppose.'"

A poor shortlist of 3 - IMHO.

Matterson is pretty well respected, especially back home, but mainly as an Assistant.

He has done ok with the Tigers but I agree, not a very exciting trio really.

I feel its time for a proven Head coach, we had an unproven head coach for 3 years,

In your opinion,

What about Anderson,Brian Smith or Folkes??

Anderson and Folkes yes, offer them serious money and let them re-build the club over 4/5 years.

Smith I dont think would want to come back, would be a decent pull if you could get him.

I am not sure the club needs a Coach to come in and try and win things. They need someone to come in and change the whole outlook and build for winning things in three years time with a young hungry squad that can play on for years. Just my thoughts, many others will want instant success.

So are you saying Bennett is no longer interested in winning anything and only went to Newcastle for the money?

Are you saying other "top" coaches are the same?

If so why should we appoint someone like that? What would be the point? We might as well stick with Agar! Or appoint someone young and hungry for success.

His attention to detail is freakish, his tip sheets take hours to compile and his scrutiny of the oppo team leaves nothing unturned.

Until outside interference he held a very happy and very solid dressing room for a long time.

KR spent £60,000 on Sports Science this year with the Uni, including paying the fee's of two students, something I believe was a unique idea at the time. He is also a massive advocate of S and C being the biggest job at the club and Rovers were one of the first using GPS I think.

I honestly feel that given Hull FC's squad, budget, outstanding facilities and Chairman, Morgs could turn Hull into a top 6 side almost immediately looking at how close they have come to getting it right several times this season. However I dont see him being offered the job because Pearson knows a big name is needed to sell season tickets.

He has just bought a house in Kirkella though so who knows
A couple of years ago I would have swapped Morgan for Agar like a shot. But not now; he appears to have lost his way and has not coped well with the pressure.

Also AP's publicly stated ambition appears to be more than just top 6 so I hope he's aiming higher with a new coach.

Presumbably because he won't be able to influence a strong character like Noble and would prefer someone more malleable?

A better question might be why does Newton care if he isn't going to be there next year?

Nah, as an assistant I think.

All I know is he got a job the Monday following the announcement and I'm lead to believe it is one of those two clubs.

Why would Bennett leave a team packed full of internationals, and move his family from Brisbane to Sydney to coach the Dragons?

Then after winning the Grand Final, with the Dragons,
Why move to the Knights, who their new owner is, one of the richest guys in Australia?

That is exactly what i want. I dont expect it to turn round overnight but i want a whole new ethos at the club that will hopefully reap rewards from year three onwards

Same reason as the Crusaders players wanted rid and the Wigan lot I imagine.

To answer the question of why he would care if Noble was there next year or not, his exact words were "The boys have been given assurances we are not getting Noble in"

Read into that what you will?

I dont know so please tell me why.

Earlier you posted that top coaches would go where the most lucrative offer came from. So was Bennett motivated by money or something else?
