Yes, its a problem, but it always has been and always will be.
What you seem to be advocating is throwing the most vulnerable in society on the street just so there's no system to cheat.
I have a daughter that has Cerebral Palsy, without the system that exists, god knows what me and my partner would of done.

People will always cheat. The amount lost through the benefits system is peanuts compared to the amount lost through tax avoidance and evasion. Somehow that never seems to generate as much bile.

You forgot to tell us what your alternative to having a welfare system is. I'd be interested to know if you have one that doesn't involve people dying.

What about IB claimants? Until I had to "go on the sick" as so many people like to call it, I had a full time job, worked a part-time job on a Saturday morning then worked on the turnstiles at the Boulevard on a Sunday. I now don't work because of my condition, I'm not lazy, I would love to be fit enough to be able to do those jobs again, but it will never happen, but in your eyes I shouldn't get anything even though I didn't chose to give up my jobs and paid tax on each of my jobs
