as someone said earlier...if people are forced by the jobcentre you cant do everything for them...even though we at a4e try. I have been told by a client that they will not work have no intention of doing anything at all and are at a4e "under duress"...this person had not worked in 30 years or more and obviously didnt want to work. I personally have never been out of work since i was 19 and never will. there are jobs like greencore which i have done and would do again should the need arise just to remain employed. i worked in zone 3 of greencore for the agency for minimum wage just to make sure i was working!!! so for those who say they cant get work...its what you are willing to do at the end of the day

my thoughts exactly. the job i'm in at the moment is ok i guess, not my dream job and we get grief off the customers but at the end of the day it pays my bills and if i ever became unemployed i would work in maccy d's, retirement homes, factories...anything to get some money and pay my way!!!

That is the problem, some people actually get more when claiming benefits, so why would they stand all day on a production line to be worse off ?

We have a winner! As I said earlier on the thread some layabout last week openly said its to easy to claim money I get 300 a week & I could not get a job that pays that much! The whole system is crazy!

Yup, thanks almost entirely to the socialist government we've had for the past 12 years. The welfare state is now totally out of control.

i thinks its disgusting how much unemployed people get...imo the unemployed should do community service till they find work...at least then they would "earn" their dole. if i were unemployed i would do it at least i would have some pride and honour. i put this to the clients and 100% said they would refuse point blank. As for the fella i mentioned who has not worked for 30 years....i have dismissed him lol

There is now way a conservative government would let the welfare state get as big as it is now. Besides the minumum wage was supposed to combat the benefit culture, but all its done is increase marginal wages and employer costs and at the same time the benefit culture.

The party who cuts these payments to the layabouts will get my vote.

They do fail to point out that most of them are what the last tory administration did by forcing people off unemployment onto long term sick, incapacity benefit.

This Government

has stopped long term incapacity benefit to new claimants and is about to tackle the old claimants.

Its just differing ways each of the two tory parties we have in power at different times of presenting the figures to us.
