Knight best prop on the pitch for me got to keep him somehow
I agree, if the Bell deal isn't done we have to question which is the better option. Both are the same age. Not sure how much truth is in it but I?d heard that Cartwright wants to keep Knight next season. If there?s any truth in that then something has to give. Would like to see Ashworth given a new deal soon too.

I agree, if the Bell deal isn't done we have to question which is the better option. Both are the same age. I like Bell, but as we've all said from the moment we were linked with him, the quota situation makes his signing less attractive. With Hardaker looking good in the second row and Litten showing really good signs backfilling for him at centre I just don't think Bell offers good value for that quota spot. If the deal isn't done I would be looking at Knight instead I think. Assuming Knight wants to stay of course. If we keep Knight, and sign Hill, Batchelor and Bailey, I think the pack is about sorted for next year. There are a lot of decisions to make next year regarding who plays where in the backline. We signed Pryce as a 6, but I really like the Pryce, Cust, Sezer and Asiata combination. I also think we would all agree that we would like to see Martin and Barron as the first choice wingers, and that we would like to see a top centre. So where does that leave Rapana and Briscoe? Cartwright seems to really think highly of Litten and you would hope he will only get better as the season goes on. Maybe we won't sign a centre. Maybe we will see a backline of Pryce, Martin, Litten, Rapana and Barron. With Briscoe able to cover either centre or wing, and Chamberlain as back up. Some tough calls for Myler and Cartwright to make to a) keep improving the squad, and b) keep everyone happy and keep that team spirit going strong.

People including me said that avbiut Cust, seem to be getting most things rghti maybe worth trusting the process. Here are Knights stats, there are no doubt he has been good signing but the way people are talking him and talk of releasing better players is a bit over the top, he has played 6 games. https://www.superleague.co.uk/player/2382/liam-knight
Our weakest position is backrow, props if Ashworth stays isn't too bad and if we could add one more we are in a good position.

| Father Ted:
Wigan sometimes allow their loaned out players to play against them, sometimes not. Wane used to when he was head coach but not sure where Peet is on this. Seeing as we'll be short of four props against you guys perhaps he won't allow it.
BTW how did Eseh play today?
I think Wigan have been more reluctant recently to allow loaned players to play against them. They did it with Chan for Salford but that was out of sympathy for their situation. I don't think Eseh will play for Hull but I don't think we'll use him either. We're maybe more likely to bring Harvey Makin back for a week or two or move O'Neill to 13 and put Ellis at prop. Luke Thompson might also be ready - 3 to 4 weeks was the timescale given from an injury picked up in the Salford game 3 weeks ago although apparently the Magic weekend was the game pencilled in for his return.

Our weakest position is backrow, props if Ashworth stays isn't too bad and if we could add one more we are in a good position. The problem is if we lose Knight and replace him with hill we look smaller and weaker at prop where we've not been that great anyway. Only really herman and Knight seem able to hold their own against better teams

Think Hill will be a great replacement for Knight. Still think we will sign another prop.

The team is performing way above where any realistic person thought. I'm happy to be wrong. Hill a good prospect but he's not currently as strong as Knight although Knight isn't likely to be an option anyway
