| Quote: airliebird, runninglate! "Last year when Kelly played a lot of the time we looked top 3
A lot of the time when he didn't we looked relegation fodder
Be a big call to go Connor over him
I'm torn...I can see this team could really suit Shaul but having Kelly Connor sneyd all on the field would offer so much more attack threat...
Shaul played similar amount of the year or more than Kelly and Connor and had less influence on the yr
For a team top four and chance of second till late 6 tries and 4 assists (10total involments) all year is horrendous
If by Easter he's anything less than great I'd be planning 2021 recruitment around fullback
Kelly go and use the spot and marquee. .
Fullback my only issue stopping my truly thinking silverware. Seen too many games when forwards matched or bettered to nulify Sneyd, and teams afford extra defenders to kelly as know theres nothing much else to threaten
No top team in world RL doesn't have it's star or near best player at fullback'"
for some reason Shaul is a golden boy, even though he offers little.

He's not wearing one on the squad Instagram hill training photo this morning. Maybe he took it off for the photo. Good to see Houghton there too. And it seems that Cameron Scott is fit again too having played v York at the weekend.

More training footage and welcoming Fonua back. Encouraging to see Kelly looking in good shape and Bowden too - massive season for him.

Sounds like Swift impressed also in the game v York, very vocal with his centre according to reports. From what we hear I think he'll be a starting winger if fit despite competition from Naulago, Faraimo and Fonua.

Hope so. Just 9 days to the first friendly. Excited for this but doubt we'll be seeing much of the new recruits.

| Fans are advised that next Sunday's pre-season friendly clash against @BatleyRLFC at the Fox's Biscuit Stadium will now kick-off at the earlier time of 2.00pm.

Lovely stuff. A little trip to the fancy Red Brick Mill before the game I think.

"Hull Kingston Rovers are delighted to confirm not one, not two, but THREE pre-season derbies against Hull FC!
The Robins will host their cross-city rivals at Hull College Craven Park in an exciting triple-header on Saturday 25th January."
Is it due to their injury problems? I thought this suite of games was more about reserve and academy players.

| It is annoying, I was really looking forward to it, but to call it rude is just wrong.
Adam Pearson clearly doesn't find it rude or he wouldn't have facilitated the Academy game at his junior pitch (no idea why Craven Park can't host it).
I'm getting this information second hand but apparently the lack of a scholarship game is an RFL decision.
At least we get to see an Academy game. Result should be a formality but I reckon Rovers will get stuck in and make a decent account of themselves.

Well, Rovers made a big splash about it, with exclamation marks and everything, then "informed" Hull that it was off, so that's a bit ill-mannered. Hats off to AP if he has saved the day as best he can given we don't have the luxury of our own ground to use for precisely this type of event. If the reports of the Rovers Academy motivation to rip in are reliable it will be a long old afternoon for the black and whites.

Rude would have been not informing Hull FC and leaving them hanging about at a locked Craven Park in their tracksuits and big headphones, while going for a cheeky Nando’s.
