| The haters are gonna love me for saying this but im a bit underwhelmed if im honest. He will effectively replace Mini but is he as good as Mini? - id say a long way off even if Minis career is now on the downward. Savelio is 23, he's had 4 clubs so far that none have seemed like theyve wanted to keep him, a dodgy injury record and from what i remember of him at Saints he wasnt that good anyway with rumours of him always thinking that he was better than he actually was ala Liam Watts.
We should of gone in for Joe Greenwood who went to Wigan when we had the chance - miles better player than Savelio

The fact he has been through a number of clubs and has just come back from a serious knee injury is a slight concern, yes.
However I think that is far outweighed by the potential he has. He is only 23 so has a lot of development in him and he will likely have grown up since his Saints says. Plus Brisbane saw enough in him to sign him in the first place. Good non-fed players are hard enough to come by as it is without being picky to that degree.
As for Greenwood, perhaps we didn't have the means to sign him when he was available or mayve we did try but he preferred Wigan.

Give him some time Seb and i am certain you will change your opinion.
he is a real athlete big strong runner and still young.
If he fits into our club culture he will be a very good signing
I have been critical of Radford but i like the nucleus of young forwards we now have at the club.
Savelio,Levy,Bienek,Masi,Jordan Lane and Jack Brown.
If we recruit well for next season with the overseas spots we will have then we could be a force once again with real strength and depth.

I hope Andre doesn't read this post. He'll be mortified that you don't rate him.

Not so much ridiculous as almost constant negativity.

| You can twist things to suit anyones agenda.
I think the only fact is that he has had a serious injury, nobosy can argue that, he has had 4 clubs, yes, one was on loan and another he was injured before he got a chance and the way the NRL is, you often don't get a 2nd chnace with the young kids they have coming through.
He was highly rated at Saint, Cas and Warrington by most of the fans and the coaches at all three wanted to keep him.
A few clubs were also interested in signing him at same time we did.
Personally think he is a good young player with lots of potential, potential to play at the top level for the next 10 years or so, possible attitude problem, but hopefully he is mature enough to realise this needs to improve if he wants to progress, this time out might have done him good as a time to reflect on his career and get it back on track.

Ellis had 3 clubs, so 4 is hardly an issue.
I wonder how many jobs seb has had?

| He has had a serious injury so we doubt him same goes for Bowden and Green then but I do not see anyone posting about them.
ACL injuries are bad I know I had one but you can come back from them and it is all about confidence, you do not even trust your rehab until that first contact on the playing field but once you have been smashed once in a tackle and you get up fine, your back.
He is a young player even now and one thing we have learned about Radford his that he doesnt take fools lightly, I for one think he is a great addition. A young very hungry player who will come in and want to smash it up, the great thing also is that he doesnt walk straight into the team right now and will have to earn his place.
I am guessing he has been pre season training with the Bronco's so should have a good level of fitness

In the HDM article he comments "I've found my love for the game", so he deserves the benefit of the doubt from me, I am not sure 3 years was right, but if he plays to his potential it could end up being quite a bit longer,

| If you can get his head right then as people have said he's young and has potential. He was very much messed about with us by Cunningham and played at prop when he's really a second row. He did seem to think he was far more valuable than he actually was though and had a big head and kept demanding pay rises,at one point he was our highest paid youngster. His agent kept bigging him up as the next SBW when he had hardly broke into the team properly. It will be interesting to see how Radford handles him,he seems to be a coach that doesn't mince his words in public so i imagine in private it can get heated.

3 years is good as it means we will get a good fee after he stars in the grand final and goes back to the NRL a hero.
Feeling a bit confident today. It'll go away when Wakey stick another cricket score on us.

| This is purely conjecture on my part, but if I was a 23yr old second-rower with great potential and some solid SL experience under my belt, then the back-to-earth reality of a season-ending injury in Aus last year, I'd be really excited to join a club where I get to work with arguably one of the best second-rowers, and leaders, the game has ever seen (apologies Lee, but I mean Gaz Ellis!) Perhaps, along with a competitive 3-yr deal, this might just have been a factor?
