| Good on Rovers, fully deserved and if I could pick a team to have to face that Leeds back line on a massive pitch it would be them.
Could see records tumble!

You need a reality check,we earned our place in superleague, unlike certain teams who had to sell their identity to the to get them out of the mire.
A reality check? About what. I simply stated that I wouldn't want Rovers to win and my reasons why based on my own personal experiences. I expect you got a Mickey Mouse Cup if that's what you were playing for. Winning any competition is an achievement in my opinion and I'd be happy if my club had done the same. Hull's progression to SuperLeague was as legitimate as Rovers, who incidentally would have done exactly the same in the circumstances. Although I don't quite see what that has to do with the Challenge Cup. You seem bitter. You should be reveling in your club's achievement. Instead you're reading a Hull FC forum.

Agreed.
I don't get this romantic notion some KR fans have, that whilst we survived through merger, they on the other hand went back to grass roots and 'built' their way back to SL.
When in reality without a benefactor to stand huge losses every year and the occasional gift of a million pounds, they would still be there.
Yes we survive today from a merger that happened 16 years ago, KR survive today due to a fan who is happy to stump up £500K every year and gifts from mad Arab's.
People in glass houses etc.
BOT - thought KR played well, and rightly deserve their place at Wembley, although I thought Wire were poor (compared to how they played against Wigan a couple of games back).
And I also hope Leeds run riot in the final! But have a good day out, that's what the final is all about.

| OK - this thread has been good-natured up until the last couple of pages. I'd like to keep it that way. If it descends into the all-too-familiar cross-river bickering it will be closed.
So back on topic please and keep away from those handbags.

I concur.
It will be a game of accurate kicking and free scoring wingers

| I have not commented on the Challenge cup since we went out, I will not break the silence.
My concern is FC and our fortunes in the supers eights, not the lower eights.
By the way I see we have new neighbours under us in the forum, a vast improvement I think and I do so hope they remain there

| Is the new merged Academy shirt out yet ? Aren't they playing in Leeds colours ? Could do with getting one in the next week or two.

| Fair play to any Hull fans taking this in good grace and wishing Rovers luck in the final. Whilst I'm certain it's 90% bluster and you'll all be cheering Leeds on in the final as if your lives depended on it, I couldn't even pretend for the internet that I wished you luck if it was the other way round. In 05, 08 and 13 I have no qualms about admitting that I was gutted you'd got to the final and became as big a Leeds/Saints/Wigan fan as you'll find come cup final day!

Exactly. Been trying to explain that to some southern colleagues today. Apparently I should be pleased as its a Hull team at Wembley. NO I'm not. Arsenal fans don't celebrate Spurs winning. Chelsea fans don't celebrate Arsenal winning. Leyton fans don't celebrate WHU winning and so on.
Apparently as "its only rugby" I should be pleased. Why is it only football that you can have an intense rivalry?
Balls to any feelings of being pleased for the Rovers fans. Balls to any feelings about Rovers deserving it. I didn't want anything other than a Wigan victory in an early round or a Catalans victory or a Wire victory. Whilst I have no love for Leeds at all I certainly will on 29th when they play Rovers.
