It will cost less than the amount the club will lose from lost revenue. IMO of course.
Smacks to me of a braindead accountant making business decisions from a spreadsheet again, whilst locked in a grey cupboard away from any semblance of reality.

| Went to get a ticket this morning from the bransholme club shop but was told they had sold out yesterday at both bransholme and saville street and the best place to get a ticket would be the try pod or the kc

Fans will have to adapt.
Those without passes who go to games will have to organise themselves better and arrange tickets in advance. Those that through various circumstances decide on the day, will have to walk all that way round to the ticket office.
Welcome to the modern world you lot. If I wanted to catch a train this afternoon, I'll have to get myself a ticket to get through the turnstyles before I get to the platform. Picking your ticket up is an accepted part of it, just like it'll become an accepted part of going to watch Hull.

Correct in part. There are many instances of stations that have no ticket facilities, so if you board at one of them you are able to buy your ticket on the train.

I suppose you think its ok and people should "get on with it" when rugby fans will be charged more for food and drink in the ground than football fans.
It's happening

Many differences so not really a fair comparison.
And the club will lose out as fans who normally decide on the day whether to go or not will decide against going as they don't have a ticket.
That is the concern.

| The club are trying to get permission from the SMC to set some pop up booths up outside the ground, manned by FC staff to sell tickets on match day.
SMC have also put up the price of the beer just for the rugby.
Nice eh?

How many people would really be put off by having to walk that short trip round to the ticket office before the game?
Anyone on here willing to stick their hand up and say they fall into that category?

It's like the SMC are trying to drive fans away. Glad the club have come out and said it's unacceptable. Can tell Pearson isn't happy one bit.

| And a lot of clubs clearly think that all fans live within walking distance of the ground or shop. I among a lot of others don't so wouldn't come in twice for a ticket and match.

You don't have to. You go to the ticket office before the game, pick up a ticket, then walk to the turnstyle.

I think more to the point is what the SMC's intentions are with these sorts of things.
I can't see it being a coincidence that two days before our first home game (albeit a friendly) two separate statements have come out announcing what's pretty much two fingers to FC and their fans.
Surely the next day or two will see Pearson commenting on SMC's actions - doesn't look like it'll be resolved any time soon though.

| Of course it will put people off going, I did decide to buy a season pass for this year now I can get to most matches. If I had to go to the ticket office and queue for any length of time I would soon tire of the situation and can you imagine the away fans coming down to length of the East stand to buy tickets adding pressure to the ticket office and confusion.
Seems like yet another tightening of the garrote that is squeezing the life out the club slowly, turn by turn its putting people off and its clearly been held back by someone as we find out a couple fo days before the first match.
It stinks
Is city like this now anyone know ?
