Laughable, but some forget, the squad he left after he was sacked for the dry @rsing we had at Hudds, they are not good enough to compete with the top 4 clubs in SL, a team is picked around its spine of 1,6,7,9,13, we had McDonnell, holdsworth, miller,Houghton, & Westy playing as an extra prop frustrating himself, we lost Briscoe, Lynch,Tickle with Crookes,Paea,Pitts replacing them, but look at the spine & compare it to the top teams & ask if they could compete at the top?

| Quote: *1865* "We've had to suffer this season as the club has looked to get value from the salary cap by trying to moving those offering the least value for money (Pitts, Arundel, Miller etc.) on. We have had to play with only 2/3rds of the cap most weeks despite our playing wage bill being over £2.2m. This is all down to the mis-management of Bomber & Gentle.'"
I told everyone that before the start of the season. Like I say, it was obvious to anyone. Signing replacements is more difficult but the real difficult part is getting those players to perform to their best week in, week out

As you are so in the know I asked you how much Dean Hadley was earning not how much you think Pitts was earning.
Now answer the question.

I never said that I knew how much either was earning, just that Pitts was earning 4 times more than Hadley.

| Haha, Taylor's the final piece of radfords jigsaw , of course he is ha
Reading all this , I don't know how a supporter a friend or anybody with half a brain can make excuses for radford this season, FACTS (I know how much you all love them) he's done terrible in his first season, no excuses, he's more than likley going to finish us in 12th, with only 2 very poor teams below us, we've played boring ty rugby all season , and we've gone backwards under his leadership. That said, it don't take half a brain to realise he ain't going no where, so for me, I'm giving him a pre season and 4 games, before I question his position again.

Well How much do you think Hadley is earning? He has just signed a new contract and I havnt a clue what he earns but lets go to the lower end and say £30000 would that be fair?
On that basis Pitts is earning £120,000 according to your source.I don't think so do you?
Too much pub talk on here, Lee Crooks told me this or Radford told me that

| Ben Crooks without doubt is a talented player going forward but we all know his defence is not so good and because he was dropped to give him that kick up the arris he thinks he is above that and spit his dummy out.Radford has spoke about culture and Crooks with is "do you know who i am attitude"is a part of that. We all knew that Radford would not take anything like that and rightly so.Whether you like Radford or not his stance is definitely the right one.On the bad signings debate, every coach in Rl at sometime made good and bad signings,I think Pitts and Johnson are real grafters but just lacked that bit extra,Arundal and Crookes were seen by many as future stars but both never really handled the pressure and expectations and once they had a bad start it was never going to be easy and it proved to be the case.So now its the last game and we again look to the future for better days.I believe with the new signings it will happen but all the fans must get behind radford and give him a chance

| We have two possible scenarios here. Either 1865 is full of 5hit (this is the more likely one). Or he really has been told these things by Radford.
If he is telling the truth, and Radford has been divulging things like player salaries to random people in west park, surely this is enough to get him sacked anyway?

| The common denominator of Agar, Gentle & Radford, is that they all cannot
gel a group of players into a team.
Irrespective of quality of recruitment.. -IMO

| History is written by those in power. Personally I still have major problems with Pearson and Radford (mostly Pearson) attributing all of our cap ills to Gentle & McRae, they were both at the club all that time, too. I'd sooner just judge the coaches on what they get out of the players they have available, and apart from about half a dozen games bookending the season, I still think Gentle was better than Radford has been so far.

Can you please point out where I've mentioned salary figures? I haven't because I don't know them. It's not difficult to work out that Pitts would be on a lot more than Hadley, but how much is surprising. In a salary cap sport when value for money is key are you happy to have Pitts on a 6-figure salary? (Reported in many places, not just on here).
It's the usual idiots that want to push their anti-Radford rhetoric and it's boring. Who knows if he's the right man long term, but whoever was in charge was going to have to do the job Radford is doing in terms of restructuring, and they'd probably be getting the same results.
AP told Smiggs on here that we're not playing with a full salary cap, yet our wage bill is over £2.2m. People don't want to know that though.
To be able to get things right on the pitch you need things right off the pitch, that's a fact. Why not just let AP and LR get on with it and judge them over a longer time span than 9 months?
