friday night was a game we never looked like winning from minute 1 and that against a significantly weakened wire side

We may have been watching it different then, as any game is there for the taking. Just not clinical enough in green sets, which has been the story since Cookey walked away.

Must have been because we were totally ordinary and never looked like winning the game I went to. We'll finish 11th or 12th this season but I'm sure you'll still be banging the radford drum

Not banging the Radford drum, if AP thinks he is the coach to do the job then what can we do? Do we keep calling for him to be handed his p45 or back him & our club? I know what I will be doing? We know nothing how to run a super league outfit or coach & play at the top level, so I will leave it to AP, & hope he makes FC into a good club with good players/staff coming through.

| Quote: easthull fc fan "Yeah but who? & do the players not take any blame?'" The players live a culture from the top to the bottom of the club. The wrong culture equals the wrong attitude and results and that is what weve got. Pearson is massively to blame for this as his blind support for an unproven assistant will seriously feck this club up in the long term infact its happening now.
He needs to stop dreaming and get the right man in for the upcoming 150th season. Weve got some decent players coming in (or should I say one - Sneyd) and with a top coach we can actually start playing to our potential, without a new coach we'll flounder in an Agaresque style till Pearson finally takes his head out of his harris mid way through next season but by then another load will of supporters will of left the club. The apologists will rag me for saying this but recent short and mid term history says im exactly right.

`11th or 12th this season'.......lose at Salford & we'll be there in 2 weeks time!
On the plus side Radford stated `he would walk' if he couldn't do the job. (yeah right)
Draw at wakey - `Happy'
Loss at home to wires - `great performance' says it all about the bloke for me.
Agree about Pearson - total brain farts at times, & as I've said before needs to take a
long hard look at his own performance/decisions.
No doubt we'll get the usual eloquent, motivational speech, a couple of new signings
& the happy clappers will be back on board. Until this time next season anyway.

| The play offs are gone now and there is every chance we could finish as low as 12.
Salford and Wakey are coming into form and picking up some wins, including against teams you wouldn't expect them to beat while we are continuing our season long habit of narrow defeats.
We have a tough run in and if we don't beat Salford at the weekend I think we are looking at a 12th place finish.

| Quote: Sebasteeno "Employ a champion coach. Don't employ a an unproven assistant who comes from a system of failure. Radford since he came back to FC as worked under Sharpe, Agar, Gentle - all failed assistants'"
Gentle was the Aussie national assistant as well as Wests assistant. System of failure? OK
Where do you suggest we get this champion coach from? Who wants to come here? And when he leaves after the obvious unprecedented success, where do we get his successor? Or should no assistant ever progress to be head coach?
Brian McLennan - assistant coach with NZ. Previous coaching at head coach level - Hibiscus Coast Raiders. First season at Leeds? World club challenge and Grand Final victories. with another GF victory the next year.
Brian McDermott - assistant at Hudds and Leeds before going to Quins and seeing them slide down the table each year. Rejoins Leeds as assistant and takes over shortly after. Wins 2 grand finals in his first two years.
James Webster - assistant coach at Hull, assistant coach at Wakey. Takes over from Agar, 7 points from 8 so far. Unbeaten, although unproven.
I'm sure I could go on.
I'm not saying that Radders is the right man, nor am I saying that Gentle was, but we have to stop this kneejerkery every time we lose a game or play badly.

This post sums up the club perfectly,an acceptence of mediocrity, 1 pt from the two games against wakey, including under agar beating us here,2 losses to our neighbours, yet a huge win away to widnes seems to paper over the cracks again. How low down the league do we have to finish before either pearson sacks radford or radford keeps his promise to walk.Somehow I dont think either is going to happen,do you ?

Usually an online interview with Pearson suffices in placating some. He tells everyone how great the future is going to be and everyone forgets how crap it currrently is. Like his last one, the one in which he said how great the second half of the season would be. Well since he said that we've picked up 1 point from 6.

| pearson gambled on an inexperienced coach and currently the gamble isn't paying off. Will it start to pay off before he has to bit the bullet and sack him? Who knows but he surely can't afford to leave it too long next season if it doesn't.
