In the hope that we might get one decent performance from the three?

Maybe just Pi@sed off after the games, but I wouldn't be bothered to see him sacked tomorrow morning.'"
Well maybe Pearson's judgement should also be called into question as well. After all he appointed him and McRae/Gentle before him.

Plenty of people questioned his judgement when Radford was appointed. Early performances suggested he maybe got it right, the last two suggest the opposite. Probably best to judge at the end of the season - although if things don't improve Radford will have walked before then.

Arundel was ok today, IMO. Wasn't really given a lot of good opportunities in attack & defensively solid. Definitely the pick of the 3.

So the plan worked.

My prediction is Shaul back, Rankin in the halves, and Yeaman the big name to be dropped to show no-one's place is safe. Rest as you were with maybe Carvell back in for Hadley (who didn't even get on today unless I missed it, what was the point in picking him?).

Exactly my point, he plays a centre on the bench and another forward who doesn't get on, not got a clue.
Should have had Miller on the bench, then move Heremia to hooker. Everyone can see Heremia should be at hooker, why can't Radford.
Going to be a right laugh on here tonight, so off for some family time, good job I don't have a dog to kick.

Problem is that leaves Crooks and Arundel in the centres, and while Arundel has done nothing wrong Crooks is currently no better than Yeaman (although for different reasons).
Radford said today he'd go through the entire squad plus the 19s until he found players who would put in the required performances. Could be interesting.

Sadly I have to agree, his lack of RL experience has cost him a lot in cash and his reputation. I can see why he went with Gentle/Mcrae as at the time the combination of a vastly experienced director and up and coming Aussie national side assistant looked to be a good mix...but we know how it worked out.
Radford's appointment is just the cheap option, but surely Pearson realises that it will cost him dearly if we keep playing like that. We have several home games coming up in a row against sides that aren't crowd pullers. Who in their right mind is going to want to spend £24 to sit through that again on Friday night for example?
Jury's out on the Pearson era for me, but he's still got time to put it right by splashing out on a big name coach.

Wish it was just £24, for me it's a 300 mile round trip, and I refuse to watch a side coached by someone with Radford's "ability" I've wiped more intelligent biology off my

I totally agree, but not everybody does. We had no options to change our approach today with that bench. If we'd had Miller or Shaul we could have tried something different.

Not ideal, but they're our 2 best options so be it. Centre not our biggest worry though, sadly.
I heard that, but I'll have to see next week's squad to be convinced. This week I can see the argument for no Miller even if I don't agree with it. After today, and then that post match interview, I don't honestly think Radford could justify still ignoring him next week.

Said that myself , I thought the best option would be play shaul and have rankin on the bench for his versatility .
