I'm old enough to remember and my recollections were that, he turned an Hull side, full of average players,into a TEAM, who would die for each over,a Team that pushed well above it's weight.

It was a pleasure to go watch his sides,because you knew, whatever the score,his sides would give 110%.

They must have buckled under all the trophies.

Can we afford to get Smith out of his contract? He must be commanding megabucks at the moment.

How many games did he coach us, why did he leave, how much did he spend?

I would appoint Smith, as a Coaching Director, bring in someone for him to mentor.

Have a look at the side,tell me how much they cost?,can't be much,why did he leave?,only an idiot would ask the question,so I won't even bother answering and as for asking how many trophies he won at Hull,my god did you see Wigan's and Widnes side.

You've got to remember we finished 10th in 87,one year after taking over he managed to get us to 4th,with a side of average players.

A Coach doesnt bankrupt a club, the Chairman/Board of Directors is responsible for the financial affairs of a club.

Gentle gets one more year for me, sacking him now would just put us back where we was two years ago. He admitted last night he's made mistakes with his recruitment, he gets to put that right. He's certainly helped to bring through players like Crooks, Lineham & Shaul, who will be another season more experienced.
If we don't see improvement next year then fine, just don't think two seasons is enough. We've improved massively defensively, performed similar to last year in the league and had our best year in the cup since 2008.

Powell at Cas would be a good option for 2015 if if doesn't work out with Gentle.
