Johnson is a very good forward, better than Green & Bowden by a distance. He'll be a good acquisition.

Well add in Chase, Holdsworth, Bateman and Ellis and it looks bloody good to me.
AP talked about young English players being targeted and Johnson is a good player. |

If Elima is coming then Lynch, Watts, Elima and Johnson backed up with Green, Bowden and pitts gives us great front row options. Stick Ellis and Bateman in the backrow and that looks a good pack to me.

Its naive of the club to be only signing young forwards because if Lynch or Ellis or both get injured then there'll be no experience on the field to help guide them. Imo we need another experienced prop and not yet more young prospects

Strong possibility of whitehead as well now i believe, I have stated I knew the club had spoken to them both earlier in the season (even before the bradford stuff surfaced) and lynch sold the club to them. Looks like captain fantastics words have worked on them both!!

Bateman and Whitehead would be a sensational double signing. Every club in Super League would take those two. |

Still leaves one of them in the 20's. If they're cheap enough that the 2nd row doesn't have a disproportionate amount of cap then fair enough, but I doubt they are. Then we're signing players like Johnson to play as first choice in the front row? Just doesn't add up to me. |
