| The winds of change are gathering strength. PG obviously has a plan (unlike Agar) and is being backed by AP. None of us expected to challenge this year so now is the right time to make these changes.

Me too. I don't think O'Carroll is what we need. So I am pleased we are getting rid.
Lynch, Paea, Lovegrove, Johnson and watts is a decent set of props should that be wahtvwe end up with. Plus still trying for a NRL prop.

| Exactly we can either wait and drag out the process or get on with the job in hand and sort the issues now.

Must be paea or an NRL prop. Can't see us affording both. Looks like manu's salary cap has been diverted to the front row

Possibly but with Tickle likely to go that would free up more cap and we could sign a replacement for him on much less cash.

We could but then that would leave us weaker in the back row.

Not of we signed someone like Whitehead. Plus if we got an NRL prop to go with Lynch and Paea and young Johnson then Watts would also move to the backrow. If not NRL then I reckon Lovegrove.

Widnes made to sign OCarroll as part of a deal so that we will sell them Tickle too ??

Would rather keep Tickle but understand him wanting to leave £200k a year. We should get a decent fee.

Which up and coming youngster have we binned without playing him? Ellis has had his chances and failed to take them.

johnson can't even get in wakey's team and watts, whilst having potential, hasn't really shown he's capable of being up there week in, week out. if they're our 3rd and 4th props next season then I think we'll struggle up front

Agreed, Ellis can kick but thats about it and he can't stay in shape. O Carroll has played every game available and is injury prone, Watts is bigger and more mobile so I see that as an upgrade.
Horne played well earlier on in the season, I think it is time for him to have a reduced role but I can't understand the vitriol about him, especially from people who don't see him play week in week out. Obviously the leaked signing of McDonnell was a sign management think that too.

Whilst I'm not saying Johnson is a world beater, I would not even come close to considering the selection decisions of Richard Agar as reliable testimony of a player's worth/ability. We know first hand that being picked or not by him is not necessarily about whether you deserve to be.

Unless Agar knows he's leaving so not playing him

I said also an NRL prop or Lovegrove. So they would be 4/5th choice. Johnson was doing well for Wakey then suddenly not getting picked, I wonder why?
