I see your point, but I wouldn't kid myself to thinking that they were happy for him to go. It's more a sign that their coaching staff haven't harnessed his ability.

Not sure that Watts was banned by Rovers three times for disciplinary reasons.

A gamble, but if the right provisions are in place in his contract, not a big one. If he can get back to previous form, we will have a very good English 21 year old on our hands. If he behaves badly, we bin him off.

I'm sure hell be out to impress and will start his Hull career like a house on fire, he just doesn't seem to have much effort in him when things arent going his way, ie knuckling down and proving he wants to play. This could be a great move for him, time will tell.

Think he will start off well for you guys and then fizzle out out just like he did for us, I have had my doubts for years about him(Mrs B can drag up my old posts). Think I mentioned before he reminds me of Mills, has all the right attributes but fails to deliver.

Like I said last week the only reason I can see us signing watts now was to use spare salary cap from this season , maybe McKinnon wage . So if we have front loaded his wage and payed most of it this season and less over the next 3 , I just hope he behaves so we don't have to get rid early . Saying that if he keeps his head down and behaves we have a very good player and his age is a bonus . Still plenty of time to improve even more .

cant see how we can lose. 21 yr old prop with exciting potential. His contract i would imagine is loaded with conditions in our favour to keep him on sraight n narrow. But would imagine its loaded with incentives,ie potentially big money by end of contract if hits targets,games played,representative appearances! Said months ago when his name first popped up id have him. Got the impression a change of scenery alone would do him good. Mate was well against the idea,text me when rovers were on sky against wigan (him n rovers poor at time) n said 'watts,no thanks' seconds later he put a great offload to set up a try to show the sort of thing he can do. Most rovers fans i know putting brave face on it,saying he's rubbish but my more sensible rovers mates bit worried it'll bite em down the line!

true. but then gone on to be a more than worthy addition,and only on a short term deal. also he aint 21 with the potential n same opportunities that are still open to Watts.
