Yes we need to strengthen but not to the detriment of moral. We need to source the better players but who at the seasons end is available and better than what we have. Pearson hasn't got a potful of money to spend on new players so its up to Gentle, Hay and Radford to bring out the best in what we have. 100% effort is all I ask of the players, they already possess the required skills has they have shown. It is, but you can only get so much out of a player with coaching. Eventually, they will achieve their potential and some still won't be good enough for a tilt at the top spot.



Our youngsters should of course be given time. But how much more time does, say, Mike Burnett need before it becomes blindingly obvious that he's not going to be a top end of SL forward? Should we also give Tony Martin more time? He's done well for us this season, but he's not going to suddenly get a lot better at 34 years of age.
