| Quote: Robbo4 "I love how people think they somehow own a seat at the KC. If the fixture is swapped then we are the away team and if Rovers want the South and East stands then so be it, it won't bother me in the slightest. I think the East holds 6k so if Rovers delegate that to the season pass holders and only allow tickets to go on sale to season pass holders first then those determined to get "their" seat will have no chance anyway. The North and Upper West should go on sale to FC season ticket holders first then maybe split the South stand down the middle if it doesn't sell out. I don't honestly know why anyone would get their knickers in a twist about where they sit when the fact is more fans will get to see the game and not get ripped off in the process.'"
I don't think I "own" my seat. Practically, though, the majority of people will want to sit in their usual seats or go in their usual stand. I [ihated[/i being in the west for the international, for example. How, practically, would you get Hull fans to ignore their usual seats and buy in the West and North instead?
It makes absolutely no difference to Rovers as they "usually" have the West and North at the KC anyway. What advantage would there be to them in requesting the East and South? Other than pettiness which would generate unnecessary bad feeling in an already delicate situation?

| Quote: WormInHand "Impossible to organize. Tickets will be issued from the KC ticket office for anyone to buy. East and South stand Hull passholders will obviously try to but their own seats resulting in two mixed stands. The police or the SMC won't have that on that sort of scale.
Short of being asked to prove which team you support when buying your tickets (again, impossible) the only sensible option is to give Rovers West and North and us keep East and South.
Viewing-wise there's no difference anyway, for Rovers to want the opposite would be pure pettiness and "one-upmanship".'"
It's not one-upmanship, it's what we'd (fans) expect from being the hosting team. If we got the North/West Upper etc then this is just another away KC game whilst being an FC home game. As you point out the logistics of this are a problem as well as the time to sort this out now. It's a balancing act and I'd imagine you'll get your taste from any deal. As we're fundamentally sacrificing our home game to maximise potential profit, then we may as well give in to any demands about stands - if this means more FC fans go. As you're the key to if this is worth our while or not.

Apart from your rather naive first sentence, well said!
(Why would being the 'home' side suggest you'd need South and East to host your fans? There's no such thing as "Home" or "Away" stands - all stands are open to all fans for every match, it's just that passes are sold for the majority in East and South for Hull. Genuine question.)

But again as I said earlier the word 'pettiness' just like the word 'awkward' all depends on your POV.

| The East stand is a high proportion of Hull fans so let them keep it if it makes it easier logistically. Personally I'd prefer to go in the West lower as I'm not that keen on watching from behind the posts and West upper feels a long way from the pitch and a little stilted.

which scenario do you think would attract the most people through the gate, that is the aim of whole excercise is it not?

I couldn't give a toss where people "want" to sit. It's not our fixture and their won't be a need to stop FC fans sitting in their usual seat as they just won't get the option if the East stand is given to Rovers season ticket holders then it's sold out. If the choice is the zebrugge end at Craven Park (or not even being able to go at all) or the West upper/North at the KC then just thank your lucky stars and stop moaning about it. Its Rovers fixture so if we agree to them using the KC they should be able to allocate the seating as they see fit.

Our East stand holds around double of our west and well IIRC.
So by your logic we should actually have the East stand as the majority of our passes are for there.

Unless they are moaning for the fun of it in other words being 'awkward'.

| The sensible option would be:
Rover – West and North
Hull FC – East and south
The only option that would keep the majority happy.
I don’t think the West upper will be needed

| As I've posted on the KR forum, this really should be a non-issue for fans. The KC has plenty of room to accommodate everyone who is likely to attend in seats with a perfect view regardless of which stand folk end up in. There should even be plenty of flexibility for those that prefer either an end-on or side view.
As far as the financials are concerned, as long as it doesn't actually [icost[/i FC any money then where's the problem? We wouldn't have made anything from the fixture at CP anyway.

Deja vu eh?
The perception of the ground innit. Yours (& City) popular stands are the South/East stand. The East being the modern equivalent of the Threepenny & Kempton if you like. As an outsider looking in, we view these areas as the main centre of your support and what makes you the home side when we play you. It's sensible logic that if we played @ the KC as the hosting team, we'd want this coveted area for ourselves. In as much to make you feel like the visitors and us the home side. However, as previously stated - we may as well give in to any stand demands, due the financial ramifications of getting as many paying FC fans through the door

I'm not sure what makes you think that you'd automatically be offered the same commercial arrangements as a sitting tenant with a negotiated long-term contract and user agreement.
