You are saying that these people died because they were standing. This isn't the case at all.
I don't see what is wrong with him saying that it's an over reaction to ban standing because 96 people died in one incident.
Is it an under reaction that we still allow flying after 9/11? |

| Quote knockersbumpMKII="knockersbumpMKII"As they found at Langtree Park, fans huddled together in one area making it unsafe due to overcrowding, yes this is because the new Saints stadium is open to the elements (And Macmanus calls it the best sports stadium in the UK...LMFAO) but if fans are going to congregate in the middle sections which is normal behaviour this would not be acceptable from a health & safety POV.
Standing was great back at the Boulevard, but we've moved on and for some to say sports fans HATE sitting you are really out of touch.
Without millions been spent on changing the structure of the stand to increase capacity than if seated it makes ZERO sense whatsoever.
With reference to lack of atmosphere that is a complete red-herring, it is the fans that make that, not the stadium design..
The Bradford play-off game amongst many others must have been all a dream then.

On Langtree, its clear the back of the stands should be clad, and possibly the terracing "bowed" slightly, i.e. more of a bowl, like th KC, thi swould give better sight lines on the terracing and would remove the central bunchiing effect |

Not for me I prefer the all seater stadiums personally and I dont think it would improve atmosphere either. Whats going on on the pitch dictates that.

I agree, and yesterday was a good example of that IMO. The atmosphere was great and the best it's been for about 4 years, even when we were trailing. |

They can stick their standing up their backside .I am to old to be
standing now I like sitting all Stadiums should be seating this day and age.
Had my time stood up plus there should be covered up to keep people dry

No-one's saying you can't sit down. There is ample space for the old and infirm to sit down, and yet accommodate the fans that want to stand too.
I couldn't believe considering what was happening on the pitch, how dead it was vs Wire. The only noise I heard was people shouting at Ganson! Our singing was subdued and I was disappointed with a 12k crowd. I like to think we'd attract more with at least the option to stand. |

Not a patch on the Saints game a couple of years ago but i am sure it will improve this season.
As for the standing, would love it and if placed in the right areas it wont affect anybody. Those who want to sit can and those who prefer to stand can. |

If you serioulsy believe that more would attend, just because they can stand and those extras attending would be more vocal simply because they're stood up, then sorry but you seriously need your bumps felt |

Well it could but I don't think there are many staying away because of the atmosphere, think it is more likely down to the dross we have been served up over the last few years. I know as an ardent supporter my patience was well and truly tested. |
