I would say Kearney is a HullFC legend, even after just one season. His performances in the CC Semi and Final in particularly were top class and played a big part in us lifting the trophy. He is definitely one of the best I've seen wear the Black and White.
overall I'd say Fitz and Kearney have offered similar skills and quality to us...its just Kearney played in a better team so had more impact.

| There is no way Kearney is an FC legend after just one season at the club, neither is Fitzy.
Swain is and always will be an FC legend. Spent a good few years at the club and will always be remembered.

agreed, on both, this "Sir Fitz" stuff is just silly.

| Fitz's contribution to the team is seen not only in his own performances but in those of Moa, Manu, Tickle and others. His defensive efforts mean that other players can use their energy to attack more effectively.
When you also consider that apparently he set a very professional example around the club, he's been a very good signing.

| Fitz, while maybe not for Hull FC, is a legend of the game. He oozes class and his professionalism is 2nd to none, people who refer to him as "Sir Fitz" are showing their respect to a great player and a great man.
I'm honoured that he chose to wear the irregular hoops of my Hull FC, as I feel priviliged to have seen him play.
He hasn't had the impact on the field that a Smith or Swain of recent times, but i'm sure he's left his mark off it.

| It would be great if some of the younger players just watched the intensity at which Fitz played the game for us. Even in his senior years he was the player with the highest intensity in most of the games he played. If a few players learnt from that and saw the levels required on and off the pitch to be amongst the best then his stint here will have been more than worth it.

And yet we remained an indisciplined and disorganised group with poor results on the field throughout his period at the club. He worked hard on the field , no question , he's been a great servant to the game in general but regardless of his efforts here the result has been ordinary at best. A legend at FC? No way. That would just devalue some of those that genuinely hold that "title".

| To echo a lot of what has already been said, Fitz is a great servant to the game and obviously worked incredibly hard for FC.
It's been a pleasure to see him in the shirt, but it's just regrettable that his time here coincided with one of the most forgettable periods in the club's history.

Something tells me we won't be allowed to forget it for a long time by some on here.
