What worries me is who is advising him with regards to RL?'"
That's a good point .

If he has any sense he'll be speaking to the likes of Simon Moran and Ian Leneghan.

If he is relying on Rule then were no better off than with the other board.

| Quote: UllFC "Pearson isn't that naive.
The only thing that will stick in his mind though is his sacking of Brian Little all those years back. Little did a miraculous job getting pennyless Hull City (who hadn't paid their players for months) to the playoffs just before the Pearson takeover. Pearson then came in and spent loads of money completely re-vamping the squad, but the new players actually did worse than the previous bunch and Little was promptly sacked.
When he sold City Pearson admitted it was his biggest regret during his time at the club, and that he had wrecked the dressing room atmosphere by changing the squad so quickly and drastically.
Which is why he is making statements that he won't review Agar's position until the end of the season.'"
Are you talking about the adam pearson who didn't sack phil brown when he took over at city again?

Because they couldn't afford to at the time.

Really? Do you have insiders at Hull and city or do you just make up all of these things you put on here?

It was reported at the time, he supposedly had a very generous compensation package in his contract which they didn't have the money to pay. That's why they placed him on gardening leave instead of sacking him, and Dowie was given the ridiculous title of Football Management Consultant instead of Manager, to avoid Brown going for constructive dismissal. His settlement was reached later on, after relegation, as the compensation clause was apparently linked to which division City were in.

So they couldn't afford to sack brown but continued to pay him and brought someone in on an additional salary? Bit of a genius this pearson. Let's hope he puts agar on gardening leave and brings in wayne bennet on a consultancy basis

Brown had something like 2 years left on his contract. Paying that up in a lump sum will have been a fair bit more than Dowie was on for a few months. There were also rumours Dowie was on a pretty low wage but with a good bonus if they stayed up.

There have been rumours that agar has been on the verge of being sacked many times in the last 3 years but I don't listen to them

I had stopped getting my hopes up, but I do actually think we could be on the verge of it now.

| Quote: Kosh "You seriously expected Pearson to walk in and sack Agar right away?
We're now so close to the end of the season that I don't expect any action to be taken until after the playoffs at the earliest.'"
No I didn't, but I would've expected him to be a bit more ambivalent in his remarks about Agar. Or better, make no comment at all on the coaching situation.
So far he's said he's the rlmost important person at the clubrl (I know we've all assumed he meant the "coach" as opposed to Agar, but was that wishful thinking?) and has appeared on telly saying the coach's position was not under review and Agar had done "a good job" and had suffered from under investment.
Coupled with Sam Moa's relief on signing his new contract that Agar would be here next season I'm starting to think that Pearson may maintain the status quo.
Certainly he's given no indication whatsoever that the way forward lies within a new coaching set-up. After the CC defeat I would have expected an ominous silence if this was on his mind, instead he gave him the Look North vote of confidence.

In the interview I saw on Look North he seemed fairly non-committal. When asked if Agar was the man for the year ahead he only said he was the man for now.

I know, that's what I told myself too, just have a general sinking feeling. Can't explain it - paranoia, maybe? Or a resignation to the worst instilled over the last four years?
Just not as positive as I was a week ago. Thought a hint may have been dropped after the Leeds match.
