On the face of it a blatant attempt to buy favour ahead of discussions on the sale of the KC. Any half-decent lawyer would be able to use it to muddy the waters during any legal challenge to a sale, so it's either a bit of an own goal or there's something to follow that involves FC.

check this dig out by Hudge

We are a stable board of lifelong supporters who want to make nothing out the club," Hudgell said.

"We don't take salaries and dividends or put self gain before performance. That would be selling the fans short in my opinion.

He loves getting 1 in don't he and is he right ? Do we need Assam as an owner ?

MULTI-MILLIONAIRE Assem Allam has agreed a deal to plough more than £1m into Hull KR, the Mail can exclusively reveal.
It will see him hand over a 'seven figure sum' for immediate investment into both players and facilities at Craven Park.
Mr Allam and his family will not take any shareholding or position at the club as a result, simply remaining as 'supporters'.

Mr Allam was a special guest of the Robins at Sunday's 46-18 win over Bradford at Craven Park, along with MP for East Hull Karl Turner, and leading members of the newly formed Labour group controlling the city council.
"It goes without saying that the club are hugely indebted to the family for their support, and the faith they have placed in me in particular."
Just last week the Allam's were reported to have a family worth of £287m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.[/i

This is quiet a suprise to be honest, i never knew Mr Allam was a Rovers fan, this is an interesting part "[iMr Allam was a special guest of the Robins at Sunday's 46-18 win over Bradford at Craven Park, along with MP for East Hull Karl Turner, and leading members of the newly formed Labour group controlling the city council[/i"

Regardless of peoples opinions about Hudge , one thing is for sure he is a shrewd business man with plenty of irons in the fire ( apart from the Mason scenario icon_wink.gif )

Good news for Rovers i suppose, god knows what Allam will do with the KC if he buys it.

The likelihood of him getting the KC has just reduced significantly IMO. How do you think it will look if people who have an investment in Rovers are allowed to buy the stadium their rivals play in by people who have been publicly schmoozed by those same rivals? It's got lengthy legal action and malpractice in public office suits written all over it.

On the face of it I have no problem with this. A local businessman puts a million (or more) into one of the local clubs. Well done HKR for getting the investment. If there was more of this we wouldnt have to worry about bank rolled rugby union clubs being able to easily poach players such as Eastmond. And who's to say they wont at some point invest in us also? I would hate for people to get on there backs for the KR gesture and then loose out because of it.

What does worry me though is how this does all tie in with the stadium bid and leave us. Surely the KR money will not go down well with a lot of people in West Hull. That makes it a strange descision if the council are talking about putting it to a public vote.

Why?, The fact Hull FC play at the KC stadium is irrelivent , Hull FC pay rent to play at the KC , the stadium does not belong to Hull FC .

Mr Allam and Hudge are great friends , one thing that is a bit suspect i suppose is Karl Turner is a massive Rovers fan .

On the upside if/when Mr Allam gets the KC stadium you get to play in a shiny new development , on the down side it leaves the potential for your club to get ripped of in terms of rent and agreements etc etc .

Surely if allam was able to buy the stadium it would be his choice to set new terms for fc, old contracts and agreements surely mean naff all
