I find it very sad that people still believe the Royals are a thing of the past, the billions worldwide who watched it and the millions in london who went yesterday sortta prove em all wrong..
jealousy is the issue for many, "I wish i was" syndrome....

I thought the whole thing was a tribute to Britain and the world looked on with envious eyes...

Not saying the Royals don`t do anything for Britain,especially as far as foreigners are concerned,but they don`t appeal to me.Nothing to do with jealousy to be honest,I wouldn`t want it for all the money. The Queen as head of state,no problem,but you can`t tell me we are not infested with hangers on.

anyone in the public eye is infested by hangers on however the Royal family to me is what GB is all about and as some would say you cant choose your family unfortunately, that old lady is one magnificent old lady and the couple in question i hope have a long and happy marriage!! because they are for me the next generation of a more in touch Royal Family that understand the people of today ...
we all have differing views on them i know but for me , if you were born on this island GB you should be very proud of her and of a day that was a magnificent advert from GB and its people as a whole....

There are many things to be proud of about our country and it's history. The Royals aren't one of them IMO. I prefer my forelock untugged.

I'm proud to be British and equally proud we have a Queen tbh, I am not a royalist as such however they add a bit of colour to our nation and are part of our heritage....plus I love all the scandal that come's out of the Windsor household

I really enjoyed the day. It's not often that Britain is centre stage so for the sake of 62p a head per year, or whatever it is, why not give the world a lesson in how to put on a right proper pageant? The Royal Family wield no real power, and are not outrageously expensive. Most European countries that binned off their Royals centuries ago seemed rather keen to tune in. Beautiful bride, fab setting, stirring music. I'm not sure exactly what alternative occasion could provide the same level of national engagement - let's face it, England are never going to reach the World Cup Final, so IMO we should enjoy a high profile wedding day for what it is, a rare occasion to indulge in some bunting/sausage roll/flag-waving eccentricity
