| Quote: PAUL M "You see you are now just making it up as you go like you did the other week after the Wigan game. There is no rejoicing going on, just giving credit for a win and a good comeback.
In fact most people have said that it does not change much and we need to back it up.
It just does not suit your argument to give the coach/players any credit.'"
It suits you to look for any tiny glimmer of hope or positivity even though it's blindingly obvious that there is none there.
Neither of us attended yesterday so aren't in a great position to comment really but it sounds like it wasn't a great performance. Yes, we came back but how much of that was down to quins switching off when they were well ahead? For all we know, the performance may have been the same level or worse than the wakey one, yet you still look to give credit?
If we can win the next 4 games then I'll start to believe we've turned a corner but 15 minutes of catch up rugby is not exactly season changing for me or most others

No positives then Jake? Even you must of been impressed with 4 tries in 12 minutes?
People are aware of the problems, they just like to take the game for what it was, a good fight back, showing character.
Or is it the fact that Agar made some tactical decisions and they came off that's really getting to you?

Not really, I want a new coach and have done for two years or so.
Well we were in front just after halftime, they had a purple patch and then we had a better one. We can't have ben that bad or that good. The positive is we showed character and scored points due to throwing the ball around a bit.
Winning the next four would be good but would not change much for me, you just seem to think that because I give credit for one win that I think the problems have gone, I don't and I said that in the original post.
I just get fed up of the same negative threads and as we had a win it's nice to talk about that for a change.

Whenever agar actually seems to get something right I am always reminded of that scenario where if you put enough monkeys in a room with a typewriter each one of them will write the complete works of shakespeare. I'm actually ambivalent to agar now, he will go, it's just a matter of time. I'm more bothered about the longer term effects of his "reign" on the club.
I'm happy we won, I just don't look at things in isolation unlike many on here. My stance on the situation has remained unchanged throughout the last 3 years unlike most

I know where you're coming from but your post is no better than those which start immediately we lose yet you still complain about them.
My opinion is that there is no credit to be gained from yesterday if it is merely an isolated spell of improved rugby

| I really dont believe the attitudes expressed here should necessarily be merited as negative. Just because someone is trying to rein in any serious jubilation in with rationale and realism ie them having the clarity to realise one, and I think it safe to say, an isolated one, win, is going to be enough to lure us back into the falsehood that Hulls season is safe in agars hands!! Of course we are all delighted that the team went off the pitch on a high yesterday but please dont be offended by the likes of others like me, who although been a fan well over 30 years, and despite loving my fc, cannot raise a smile, knowing that Krusty the Agar, is still at the helm of our great club. We are of course, all entitled to our own opinions and I personally salute those who yesterday had the courage of their convictions with their banners, t-shirts etc. Furthermore I believe many others would have been only to willing to join in should we have lost. We all want the same thing at the end of the day, - successes in our season! It is unlikely that that will be in silverware this year, (unless cc) but the very least we should hope for is some very reasonable level of consistency in our play/matches. I don't believe im sticking my neck on the line here, by saying, I doubt very much we will even get that with Mr Agar. If that makes me negative, then so be it. I applaud those of you who can now see a shining light, but personally i carnt. I sincerely hope to be prooved wrong!!

Tbh Jake it's just nice to discuss something a bit more positive and in general the game itself. The Agar stuff has been done to death and there is nothing much more to say on it, many fans want rid with good reason and it's now down to the board to manage the situation.
I never wanted him before he got the job but was prepared to support him. It's painfully obvious he isn't the man to lead us to where we feel we should be but in the meantime if we win then I am still going to be happy about it.

Maybe Paul, like myself and a couple of others, are just fed up of the whole Agar out thing?
Yes, we can all now agree he isn't the right man for the job. But yes, he did make changes yesterday, what a lot were crying out for, and they worked and we scored 24 unanswered points against a team who have had a relatively good start to the season.
Its not rejoicing, its been positive after we win an away game. That's a positive. Yeamo is now on 5 tries, Tickle on 4 tries. Both positives. Westerman and Obst both looking good additions to be the squad, and by all accounts Long played well yesterday too. More positives.

| I would agree with all that Tommy barring the Long played well bit. He was a spectator for the majority of the game, his kicking was poor at best.
At the moment we have to take any positives we can find though and to win anywhere at the moment is something to be positive about.
