| Chill out people the reason Turner is not in the squad is Lyne is on stand by for Briscoe and Dowes is the spare forward incase anyone gets injured in the warm up. But to be honest Turner hasn't done anything to warrant a regular place blows hot and cold IMO but is still young and has a good future.

| Correct choice for me.....Turner is very average and id be looking at getting shut at end of season. We got rid of 2 players in Hall and G.Horne who are better than Turner.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Think Turners looked good this season, especially since he went back to centre. Apparently he took a heavy knock last week anyway so it might not have even been a decision Agar had to make.

Agree about Hall, not much in it with Horne though. You could also add Broughton as a 3/4 who looked better for us than Turner and we passed on.
I think Turner's just caught in between stand-off and centre, not quite good enough in attack for stand-off, not good enough defensively for centre.

Fair assessment.

Agreed about Turner. The only thing I'll say is both centres have not been great this year and after last week Yeaman's position should have been under threat as well. I doubt it was. Yeamo would benefit from there being more perceived pressure on what seems to be his auto selection every week.

Sorry don't know how to make it smaller, but an interesting point of view by our very own James Webster.
If posted elsewhere apologies

I'd have gone the other way, personally. Horne is a pretty solid utility player, whereas Hall is, er, not.
I'd say Turner was a similar type of player to Hall - does some quite good things in attack and some quite dodgy things in defence. The only difference is that Hall's abilities are more polarised (better in attack than Turner, worse in defence). Either way, it remains to be seen whether he'll make the grade or not, but it might be a bit too early to write him off yet.

He does seem to live something of a charmed life. Maybe he has the negatives to the photographs that are keeping Agar in employment?

I didn't think Horne was that solid, gave away far too many penalties and sloppy missed tackles, and lost the ball in the tackle far too much. Case in point was 2006. His best season for us, but within 60 seconds in the GF Saints showed why he was still our biggest weakness and put the game to bed before half time.
Hall and Turner are similar cases, I agree. It's the fact that Hall was better in attack that I rate him more though. When played at centre I don't think there was much difference in their defensive abilities, both of them had the same problems of positional sense and decision making.

Yeah, sorry, I meant now. I think the Huddersfield Horne is doing ok. Unspectacular, but reasonably reliable.

Perhaps, but Turner is stronger in the tackle and not nearly as likely to be handed off/trampled over. He seems to relish the collision a lot more than Hall did, as well.

Fair point, a question of coaching?

Hall was infuriating. When he did make the right choice and go in properly, he could make very good tackles and wrap the man up well. The problem IMO was that too often he'd dither and by the time he made his mind up it was too late to commit to the tackle fully, hence he'd get brushed off. I agree Turner does seem to get stuck in a bit more. I suppose the difference is that Turner makes the wrong decision too often, whereas Hall didn't actually make a decision at all.
