Whats odd? He's played his best rugby for the last 3 weeks and then signed a deal. He then had a cracking game v saints the week after signing a deal. I'll wait to see if Dowes keeps this form up before giving him raps. I used to be one of his biggest fans but struggle other than the last month to see his value.

Dowes, Cusack and Radford are all similar for me. Out of the 3 only Radford has an offload. Cusack seems to have rapidly gone backwards this season. I'm not disappointed with Dowes and Radfords extensions as long as both of them keep up current form.

it looks a certainty that cusack is going back down under at the end of the season, which leaves dowes and radford.the thing is who else is their that is superior to these 2 and who might be available??

I have criticized him a few times this season his performance's especially away at Leeds were not up to standard, that said he is on his day a valuable squad/team member.

Shall we go back to 2005 then when he played every game? Or the start of 2009 when he was excellent in the first few games after he did that personal fitness thing? Last season the pack was really weak with Carvellgate, Crocker not coming, Cusack, King, Thackray all injured on and off. Dowes played too many minutes and we're seeing a better player as a result of more rotation options and O'Meley and Moa in good form. FWIW I think there are priorities ahead of Dowes and Radford. In a straight choice though I'd have Dowes.

Completely agree Mrs B.
I'd be happy to see Dowes get a two year deal.
