If there is any doubt was so ever with players they wont be risked,we have a big enough squad to cope with it,if they need a bit longer to recover ie long,radders then its not a big concern if they are left out for this game.

If it is true, lets see what agar has been raving about turners versatility (spell check ), stick him at 7 for the crusaders game...Leave Tansey at full back please mr.agar, no need to rock the boat too much!

I would go with that Garroway, Washy had a few attempts in the position last year and never really shone at it. Turner has been getting rave reviews from everyone not just Agar so the lad must have something about him.
If Long is carrying any kind of knock going into this game or any of the early season games it would be foolish to risk him.

I bet he puts Washy in there from the start and see how the games going. Maybe replace him with Turner if its in the bag to see what he is like !

I can understand what people are saying regarding resting players carrying knocks etc, and i completely agree but we can't just be resting players based on the opposition. It's already evident from the opening 2-3 games that no teams can be taken lightly this year, (crusaders included). I expect nothing less than a very very tough game on sunday against a team who will no doubt be buoyed by their big win last week. I hope the players don't go into the game carrying the mentality of some on here, otheriwse we WILL get turned over.

They are probably waiting for the results of the precautionary scan that all players with knocks have!

Still worried that without Long we're exposed at 7, any other position on the field would not be a problem. You just worry that without him we'll be back to making yardage but unable to get over the line.

IF long isnt 100% then agar dont play him but dont move tansey or berro leave them there and either play washy or turner at halfback. still think weve got enough without longy.

out of interest does anyone know what Turners kicking game is like? Think that would be the biggest loss if Long is injured/rested/raping and pillaging

Be tempted to rest Long anyway, think we should have enough to beat them without him playing.

Would also rest Radford and give Moa some game time.
