| Quote: Locko's Luck "I have not forgotten it either, I put this together at the time and the reference to Lilley reminded me I still had it.
Silly Lilley!
Silly Lilley day is a day to remember, 1999 the 15th of November.
Praise be silly Lilley what more can we say, we’d just like to thank you silly Lilley, that’s if we may.
After under achieving with previous appeals you finally came up with the deal of all deals.
In you stormed you red baron baying for blood, hoping to do more harm than good.
With thoughts of extinction for a black and white team. Based purely on a colour of envious green.
“No way do I want them to reside in [imy[/i league they’ll suffer from cold and winter fatigue.
They’ll spoil everything in [imy[/i Northern Ford; I just cannot accept them coming aboard. “
You were grasping at straws amid the commotion, hoping that your team would stand for promotion.
But alas no one listened or agreed with your plan, what a slap in the face for a sad little man.
When we were starved of direction you provided a feast. Aussies from heaven or Gateshead at least.
A pat on the back silly Lilley for all that you’ve done, but when it comes to top dogs there can only be one.
Right now silly Lilley you're being admired, for the plan you concocted. That sadly backfired.
Happy Silly Lilley day for Sunday
Very good

Hull without rovers is a better place as far as I'm concerned!!'"
The rise of Hull KR has inevitably forced Kath H to re-evaluate the lack of strength in the Squad of 2011 and they have had to sign quality players to make sure you don't finish near the bottom of the league again.
So two quality sides in Hull is great for the city and has the added bonus of providing players to the International side , Young Briscoe (whom has been unlucky) for example and hopefully next year Yeaman will be back to his best.

The rise of Rovers hasn't in any way forced us to re-evaluate our squad because we, unlike your lot, don't judge success by whether or not we finish in front of our neighbours.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| personally what i'd like to see is the strongest 14-16 clubs in europe playing in sl.
things like support, youth systems, financial stability, staduims been the most important. then when/if the standard in european countries get hign enough they revert back to their national league and other clubs in england who have watched and learnt from the sl clubs how to run a club then can come up from the national leagues if they have a strong application.
i aren't to bothered where the clubs are from tbh as long as it improves rugby league in general.

....and Rugby League in general would be a better place without people like you spouting off their bu**. Hull and Rovers give each other energy and have a relationship that is unique in RL.
Take that chip of your shoulder.

Well there is a precedent isn't there. They would close, be taken over by another SL team but keep their own name, stay at their own ground and the other team would cease to exist until reformed in a lower league. Rovers would then deny that they were ever taken over. Sounds familiar?
We were bailed out by the rugby league, no one can deny that.
"Bailed out" !!!!! You mean saved from extinction. There's a slight difference. As I remember it you became "Gateshead Rugby Football Club trading as Hull FC" that is not being "bailed out".

I won't forget either. However, my father was an FC director for almost 20 years and made many friends with chairmen and directors of other clubs, including Rovers.
Those were the words of one man - I won't forget his words but I won't forever associate every Rovers director and supporter with them.
